Lakers starters: Blake, Meeks, Johnson, Hill, Gasol
Not sure if i want to watch this game or the GS v OKC game live, but i think this game will be alright. Hill had a day against us last time in L.A, this time its in detroit, and the lakers dont seem to have the same level of magic from 3pt land this season on the road. However, the lakers have won 4 of the last 5, and gasol has been playing very well.
A win for us is going to come from getting some kind of defense together. The lakers should not be a tough team to shut down, and if its going to get started against any team, the lakers might not be a bad place to do so. however, it has been so bad so far this season that im not counting on it. might be another average hang around for 3 quarters and one team goes cold enough that the other goes ahead by 10 points and thats it. i hope we start to see some positive signs though.

Pistons need a rebound game here. Really need to beat someone up. Lakers are it. Detroit taking this one.

I don't see Detroit stopping Pau if he's on tonight. I'm in disbelief that the Lakers are winning so many games so far, I thought they would be absolutely terrible this season.
I want to lean towards Detroit winning, but LA is better than they look on paper.

Dantoni is showing he's a great coach when no egos are involved.

if we were playing them a week later when kobe returned we would have a better chance of winning, unfortunately the lakers are playing well as a unit right now.
hope the pistons win, it would be pretty big for them to have some momentum heading into Miami on Tuesday & potentially 8-9.

I say we win it, but if the Lakers are hot then we're dead.

What happens if the Pistons get off to a poor start and TLC is scheduled to sing "I don't want no scrubs" at halftime? lol
Do they cancel the show?

The Lakers are playing like a team and that's the type of teams that beat detroit, so i have pretty low expectations for this one.

All about defense. Let them shoot over 50% = guaranteed loss, this aint rocket science. It wouldn't hurt not to let roleplayers like Steve Black put up 16 assists and let guys like Jordan Hill have career nights (27 & 14 last game vs. Pistons)

Pistons lose by 15. BJ, seeking revenge against Blake, holds him to 15 assists tonight.

Detroit needs to front the post and deny passes that can get weak side shooters hot. Not to mention the obvious lack of pick and roll defense. Also all of the silly unforced turnovers by the Pistons the last time these two teams met? They have to go.

I actually like what that lakers squad is pulling off, like everyone else has said,if we play any semblance of defense we have a decent chance.Jennings really needs to play steve hard.
On another note, did you guys see the youtube clip of jason kidd spilling his drink on purpose and pulling together a quick huddle and no one noticed steve, who was standing right next to garnett, lol.

When we played in LA we really seemed to be able to have our way but gave in to their pressure and had some complete lapses on defense. We shouldn't be able to be thrown off by the energetic but not talented type of defense they play.
I think if we lose to them again this team has a huge mental problem.
