Which is more likely to happen?

Its clear something is off with this team. Whether its the players, the coach/scheme, or a combo of both, if the season continues status quo, which is more likely to happen...
Cheeks replaced in-season, a major trade, or Dumars does nothing and just accepts his fate?
It may seem obvious that a trade would happen before Cheeks being replaced, but keep in mind that realistically, major trades aren't easy to do and require two teams to tango. Whereas if Joe thought Cheeks were the only problem preventing his team from making the playoffs, not the players (which wouldn't be the first for Joe lol) then he could act on it immediately if he wanted. Or maybe Joe thinks its a combo of both players/coach, but can't find any trade partners, so instead of just accepting his fate, he makes one last attempt at a coaching change to try and save his job. (Perhaps goes after Hollins or Karl now that he has more talent in place and they may be more interested)
So this isn't what you would do, rather what you think is actually going to play out?

I think Moose gets traded in a last ditch attempt for DesperaJoe to keep his job, if things don't start turning around soon.

I think Gores will move first and fire Dumars before he can make any desperation move. This is Joe's team, for better or worse now - if they can't turn it around, Dumars is finished. Gores can't let Dumars make a desperation trade - give up a Monroe for a now player SF that could improve us in the very short term only.
No way Cheeks is fired either - none.

He can't replace Cheeks midseason because no one would want to coach for us. The only coaching talent we could get is some assistant coach for some bad team because no established coach such as Hollins or Karl would want to be on the auto-hot seat like every coach we've had for the past 7 years has been. Firing Cheeks would be a lateral move at best, and a horrible move at worst. Cheeks isn't good, but we're probably not gonna get any better than him with all the instability that comes with this job.

Honestly, at this point, I would love to get a fresh view of the FO now. Joe's been a part of this organization for too long, and he's done all he can I guess, but normally GMs like him don't usually last long anyways.
I sincerely hope that Joe doesn't make some desperation move, because I have a feeling that Monroe will somehow be involved which is a big no-no for me since I actually think he's worth something (Not max right now) to this organization, with the league preferring small ball now a days.

id like to see joe fired at this point. this is his team again, his mess, his moves. fire him and hire some completely new with no ties to this team.
i dont see any of this happening though. a trade is most likely, sadly.

Unfortunately, I see us trading Moose before Josh so Joe can save his job. If this were to happen, I hope we can get a decent return.
Stuckey/Monroe/Singlerfor Batum/CJ Mcollum/Lopez.
Paul Allen. Enough said. He couldn't care less about paying Moose and going into the LT.

most may not like it but we will not get equal value for moose and that trade is a little too big of a deal but i like it. its a lot of player to bring into a team that still has chemistry issues though.

It might be joes fault for hiring these crappy coaches and hoping to find a diamond in the ruff, but its not like he is hiring coaches and firing them for doing such a great job.I also understand coaches need more than a year, but you can tell if a coach dosent have it or has lost the team. Its not about the firing of these coaches, but the hiring of mediocore coaches that put joe in this position in the first place. If we can get a coach that can at least keep us at .500 ,than he deserves a few years to improve,if not then why keep him around.

I agree its unlikely a coaching change is made. It sounds like there's issues between the players and Cheeks already though. Smith said a few weeks ago that we need to be more physical and Cheeks disagreed. He later benched him for missing practice for a family matter, which is unusual. Jennings said last night that they need to play with more urgency and Cheeks disagreed. Then today there's reports of Cheeks saying he doesn't know how to play PG. I also remember some rift with Stuckey/Cheeks from a few weeks ago. I don't know. It just doesn't seem like these players are getting along with him on/off the court. Add to it the team playing poorly and having no cohesion at all and its not hard to see that a better coach, or one that the players at least seemed to be on the same page with, could be producing better results.
I know it would be hard to get any credible coach to replace him, but how awesome would it be if Cheeks were fired and Rasheed were named interim coach for the rest of the year?

Mo Cheeks is best suited to be an assistant coach. It's so frustrating to see the camera pan over to him time after time only to show his blank expression which never changes. It's rare to see him actually talking unless we call a time out. The only worse coach right now is Jason Kidd, who's best attribute is not his experience as a player or his basketball knowledge, but his love for soda.
I would honestly rather see Rasheed as head coach. At least he gives a crap. He'd probably get ejected a few times, but it sure beats Mo Cheeks looking dumb founded the ENTIRE GAME.
