If you're putting Barnes and Leonard on there, we might as well add these guys too:
LeBron James
Kevin Durant
Paul George
Carmelo Anthony
etc.
Because we aren't getting them, no way in hell. Really, I could say the same for Batum, since the Blazers are playing so well and don't want to mess up their chemistry, and Butler is also probably out of our reach as well.
Wilson Chandler and Trevor Ariza are good options. Jeff Green probably is too, since Boston wants to tank, but their coach is too good to let it happen. They'll have to ship out a decent player to give the Atlantic title away to the Knicks or Nets, since Toronto is tanking too.

I wouldn't mind going after Trevor Ariza in the off season.

Harkless is a guy I wanted at #9 if Drummond didn't drop. I've liked his game since his year at St. Johns. We just don't have the assets we can/want to give up. At this point, the Magic don't want Stuckey as they're tanking and he's expiring.
EDIT: Looks like ETwuan Moore passed Harkless on the depth chart and he's racking up DNP-CDs.
Charlie V for Harrington and Harkless? What a steal that would be.

Every single time a Harrison Barnes trade has been suggested, it's been shot down by GSW fans, and I understand why. He's a critical piece to their bench, or at least he will be once Iggy is back from his injury. He's got all sorts of potential and is cheap, plus he can play multiple positions for them. They are not giving him up. We cannot realistically pry Barnes from them, it isn't happening.

Re: List Of Small Forwards Detroit Should Consider Trading F
None of these are very realistic options, considering none of their teams have given any indication they want to trade them.
The most realistic scenario to get a legit SF is in the offseason, where I could see us signing Luol Deng, who will be an unrestricted free agent.
Its possible we could resign Monroe and also afford to sign Deng, as the cap is expected to go up. So if we can afford to keep all 3 bigs and just rotate them with one off the bench (like Ben/Sheed/Dice), and still afford to add the starting SF we need in the offseason, does it really make sense to rush into trading one of them for a SF now?

Re: List Of Small Forwards Detroit Should Consider Trading F
Denver has a lot of SG/SF and if the rumors are true about them being willing to move Faried, I'm sure Monroe would be able to land Chandler and filler allowing them to start him at center or shop Faried. I feel the same about Boston, Monroe would get us Green but he has had health issues and is inconsistent. There just aren't 3 and D guys out there that are worth moving Monroe. All those other names aren't or shouldn't happen.

Otto Porter. I know he doesn't look like much now, but he might be easy to pick up and he could develop into a legit SF.

Re: List Of Small Forwards Detroit Should Consider Trading F
I've actually wanted Jeff Green for a while, but trades with Boston are difficult. They want to tank, shed salary and acquire assets. You pretty much need a 3rd team to facilitate.
Agree Leonard & Batum are off-limits and Barnes probably as well. Guys like Ariza & Webster are probably more in our wheel house.
I know everybody thinks I constantly undervalue Monroe, but I'll say again that I think we are actually under a lot of pressure to move him now. He's either going to bolt and leave us with nothing or we'll have to overpay to keep him. Soo.... Monroe/Jerekbo/CV for... Ariza/Nene (and assets)!! We get a starting SF and Nene becomes our 3rd big off the bench in the Dice role. He makes a lot of money, but is a solid 2-way player that expires the same time we have to re-up Dre. *flame shield activate!*

Moose will be making nearly the same as Nene. The difference in cap is negligible. Ariza is a guy you sign for the MLE.

What about Joe Johnson?
Yeah, his contract sucks....but he's a shooter and play-maker. Something like Smith/Jerebko for Johnson/Plumlee?
Jennings / Billups
KCP / Stuckey
Johnson / Singler
Monroe / Harrellson / CV / Mitchell
Drummond / Monroe / Plumlee

Or according to the wiretap, the Sns might be willing to deal picks for assets.
Monroe/Jerebko for the Morris twins and a pick?
Jennings / Billups
KCP/ Stuckey
Morris / Singler
Smith / Morris / Mitchell
Drummond / Harrellson

Not SF but I would love to get Eric Bledsoe on to the Pistons team. The guy is ridiculous. That kind of athleticism, defense is tough to get from the PG spot. He shooting and play making ability has improved a lot as well.

Re: List Of Small Forwards Detroit Should Consider Trading F
If nobody is willing to take smith off our hands then I may be willing to do the moose to the suns for the 1st round pick trade. Josh Smith would be way better at power forward, we could get a legit small forward or start singler, and we get a 1st round pick in a really good draft.
But my first choice is to get rid of josh smith, starting tomorrow he will be eligible to be traded so if there is any team out there who thinks he could help them maybe we get lucky and get rid of him.
