is Bynum-Jennings a long term solution

ven though it has only been a few games, Detroit appeared re-energized and is playing with more life. The 114 points scored against the Philadelphia 76ers was the first time the Pistons broke the 100-point mark after nearly a two-week drought. A large portion of why the Pistons are doing positive things on the court can be attributed to the play of guard Will Bynum. His 17-point average over the last two helped lift Detroit over close wins.

Playing Bynum next to Jennings will certainly create better offensive opportunities for the post players, while also relieving some of the ball-handling duties from Jennings, who now gets to move without the ball and limiting the number of questionable shot attempts.

Could this actually continue to work? How consistent is Byum?

It has to be bad defensively though. Bynum and Jennings remind me of a couple of street ball players.

Defensively they suck.
Bynum is similar to jennings in that he's too flashy for his own good and they both have a tendency to look for their own shot.
Both guys are frustrating to watch and if they're going to play lots of minutes together i might go insane.

Jennings has been stepping it up on defense. If he can be average there we can build a great defensive team

Jennings has to be smarter about his shot selection and more disciplined defensively.

If Jennings can somehow be average on defense and be more aware defensively with better IQ, then yes he's certainly a long term solution. His questionable shot selection has been somewhat reduced, although it's mainly him having such atrocious footwork on his shot and the way he slings the ball.

Lol Will Bynum. Although, he did play big for us as a backup as of late. He flourishes when teams go small ball so I have no problem using him in certain situations. We need a bit more consistent all-around backup PG though.

I just don't care for Jennings. He's a gifted passer but he's terrible on offense and even worse on defense. Also he has that cocky attitude where he thinks Hes the best PG in the league our Something, Dude seems like a real douchebag.

Not even close to being true. I'm not a huge BJ fan but you can tell the dude loves the game.

I mean we are already the worst defense in the league no matter who we put out there so we might as well put a product out there that can occasionally score more than they allow.

Whatever gets the wins I guess.

I think the words "bynum" and "solution" are an oxymoron.

Bynum is a situational spark-plug that frequently does more harm than good because he's really an undersized 2-guard, not a pg. Sooner or later that always catches up with us, even if he does manage to win us a game or two with some individual heroics.

Jennings I like. He's flawed, but still better than the alternatives.

The fact we've done better with Jennings/Bynum is more an indictment on our weakness on the wings than anything. And this too shall pass.

Both players make me want to tear my hair out haha. If they both play WITH Smith, it'll make us or break us. The game can go either way really. They don't play team ball. It's annoying. It's not the players, it's coaching. I kind of like how the coach lets them play. But during clutch time, you need to COACH your players! So they're scary. It's a good or bad thing. Because they can make plays but also break us.

There are alot of players (Datome, Billups, Jerebko, Charlie V) like Bynum that should be no where NEAR this roster

It's pathetic
