why would the Wizards give up their starting SF, best defender, best 3pt shooter for a backup PG/SG?

Maybe if Otto Porter was coming along better. Beal and Wall have gotten alot of burn, Webster isn't a two, and Maynor has had a terrible year. They need guard depth badly, but Porters slow development limits that

stuckey's a better pure scorer and player with the ball in his hands. he can also play PG in spurts. ariza's a better shooter and overall defender. I don't think washington does this deal, but i think it's much closer to fair than people think

Talent wise, it's a good trade. But I doubt the Wizards would do it. They've been playing good basketball lately, why mess with chemistry in the starting line-up.

throw in Singler and throw back Vesely maybe a 2nd, I dunno, u guys make a good point they probly wouldnt wanna mess with what they got

I've been proposing this trade for months now.

It works, while Washington is starting Ariza- they have Martell Webster- who is a better shooter than Ariza and Otto Porter waiting in the wings. What Washington really needs is a stretch 4 or a 3rd guard so i think something based around Ariza/Stuck could work.

That being said, I think the more likely scenario is for us to just make a play for Ariza in FA, he's the perfect fit for this team,

I'd rather use lesser parts (CV, Bynum, Jonas etc) to get Webster, than trading stuckey for Ariza.
Stuckey has been the most consistent guard we have this year. If stuckey goes, then Bynum gets more burn and i don't want to see that.

and classic question. WHY WOULD THEY DO THAT?

I rather just sign Ariza to a contract in the off season. I hope someone like the Thunder or Portland pick up Stuckey honestly.

In the same way KCP is a "slow development"... Wiz are a playoff team, they can't afford to be playing Otto Porter starters minutes if they want to win games. If he was further along they could do this

KCP is developing slowly but Porter has just been god awful.

I'm certainly not writing him off, even if he just finds a role he's really good at in the future I wouldn't consider him a bust or anything especially in this draft class. What's funny is I think his 2 best games were against us lol.

We add Porter as our SF of the future and Webster to give us a shooter.
