Not sure if anyone saw this already, but it's a nice read.
Very few positives have come out of this season, but Sheed helping our bigs is one IMO

Hes done well and seems to take the job seriously.

"Both teams played hard." - Monroe.

Ahaha classic. I'm glad the younguns have taken to Sheed. They need a little bit of his edge.

I hope they keep Sheed around when the new coach is hired.

I'd rather a legit low post big man coach Dre to tell you all the truth. Sheed was allergic to the low post, and his passive demeanor on court rather than the driving passion to be great concerns me now that he's mentoring Dre as well - whose knock coming out was his motor/passion as well.

One of the problems with Monroe/Dre is that they don't demand the ball. There was a quote from earlier in the season when somebody questioned Cheeks about the lack of touches for Monroe and Cheeks answered maybe Monroe would get the ball more if he called for it - and when that was taken to Monroe he simply said that wasn't his style.

Sheed is a cool cat, but he's also wasted potential - he could have been one of the greats but didn't have the burning desire to be great.

Sheed was awesome in the post. That back his man down and hit the fade away jumper was sick. He started to shoot the 3 ball alot later on in his career but He was still a very skilled post player in his day. Plus im sure he has enough sense to know to work on Dres post game and not the 3 ball.

I am/was critical of Sheed as well. However, he was skilled in the post; he just stopped doing it as he aged. It seemed whenever he went all-out down on the block, he would injure himself. on several occasions, he would sprain his ankle. I seen it multiple times with Sheed. Dude had weak ankles...

Dont mistake Sheed's floating to the perimeter with him not being one of the best low post scorers in NBA history, his post game was as good as it gets.

There literally isnt a better coach on Planet Earth for Monroe & Drummond than Rasheed.

You went way to far with this, "one of the best low post scorers in NBA history."

Dude had the skill, just never used it. He isn't even close to 'one of the best low post scorers in NBA history'. In fact, he shouldn't even be in the HOF. I would love to hear your argument....

What does the HOF have to do with his post game being one of the best in history?

Aggressiveness was his biggest foe & what really is the difference between being a real good player, a multiple All Star & being one of the best big men to ever play the game.

but you lost your mind if you think his post game wasnt one of the best in NBA history, he could beat you anyway, anyhow with his back to the basket.

Sheed was THE best PF all along with KG & Duncan
during his prime. Just was somethimes a headcase.
He wasted some of his potential due to lackness.
But love him here to teach dré/moose !
