I think we need a roster like that

I'd offer a max contract to Bledsoe but probably the Suns match the offer.

4x10 millions contract for Lowry is not a bad contract for a great defender and great 3pt shooter who can play the PG.

I'd offer a 4x12 millions contract to Stephenson, I think the Pacers could't match the offer, that's one of the reasons they get Turner. We could offer for Turner too. With him/Turner and Bledsoe/Lowry we got 2 players who can handle the ball, necessary in any team.

For Ariza a 3x8 millions contract seems fair, he brings us defense and 3pt shoot.

A trade for Wilson Chandler could be great too.

We can't trade Smith with his contract, it makes he was our PF.

Bledsoe/Lowry, Stephenson-Turner, Ariza/Chandler, Smith, Drummond.

An incredible defensive team with some reliable shooters and 2 players at least who can handle the ball.

I know we don't have got that cap space for sign all this players, but if came a new GM who want start a rebuilding he probably could taking out the garbage of the team.

Why even mention signing Bledsoe when the Suns will match?

Why bring up signing 2 additional free agents when you know we can't actually afford to do that?

Why suggest trading for Chanlder without coming up with a realistic possible trade to make it happen?

There was no point in making a thread just to wishlist.

I don't have a problem with this... it might have been better titled "Players to target"... the style of player is represented... a wing/pg defender that can shoot....
A prioritized list should follow .... Attempt for the best and work your way down the list.

Hopefully Phoenix offers Monroe the max and then lets us sign Bledsoe but I think they have the cap space to sign both.

Hopefully we offer other free agents contracts first so we dont get stuck waiting for Moose or waiting to match

Hayward isn't a #1 option at all and that scares me locking him up and leaving us without a way to get that guy we really need. I like his all-around game and he's a better option than Smith at SF but Drummond/Monroe/Hayward looks better on paper than I feel the results will show.

Yeah don't like the shooting season Hayward has turned in this year. He's been given a chance to be a lead hand for a poor team, and while I like his playmaking and distribution from the wing, his shooting percentages (particularly from long range) have dropped off totally.

I know he has played more SG this year as opposed to SF previously, I wonder if that has a lot to do with his 3-point shooting drop off? He's still best as a #3 option probably though he can distribute the ball as you mentioned.

Having monroe-Hayward-Drummond as first, second, and third options would be better than most teams. I feel like Hayward would be a very good wing to compliment Drummond

There is no 1st option there, that's what I've been saying, we need a perimeter guy that can take control down the stretch.

I think we should bring in LBJ, CP3 and Harden.

The fact that the OP believes we are 42 mil under the cap leads me to believe to this thread should have been locked.

We spent that money on Josh Smith last Summer.

Would PHX for sure match a max offer for Bledsoe? Also, is Bledsoe worth a max contract?

That totals to about 24 million dollars in expirings, which wouldn't be enough to sign those players even if the amount of expirings a team had was equal to the cap space they have to use, which it simply isn't.

I agree with Warspite in his implicit assessment that you don't have any idea what you're talking about.

i'm of the opinion that i'd rather have a collective team contribution than a team built to go as a single player goes. i know that's cliche as all hell, but think about it. moose is a very good cerebral player who we can go to in the low post for scoring in the half court when the offense bogs down. hayward is cut from the same high IQ mold, but he makes intelligent plays from the perimeter on both sides of the ball. he would give us another P&R ball handler and floor-spacer which is obviously important and complimentary to drummond. then yeah, drummond still wreaks havoc all over the place as a 3rd option. we're not getting wiggins or paul george or kevin durant, so it's time to start (properly) building onto what we already have.

Actually, it's been the opposite this year - Hayward has spent 95% of his minutes at Small Forward this season, according to Basketball Reference, with 4% being at the PF spot, and just 1% at SG. This was opposed to a 49%/51% split between SG and SF last season.

He also spent the majority of his time at SF (84%) in the lockout-shortened 2011-12 season too, and his 3PT% was down that year too. Maybe he just struggles a bit more getting his own shot against bigger defenders? That being said, I'd still love to have him at the 3 spot full time here.
