We're getting brutalized in these rankings (and rightfully so).

Oh well, at least our #30 GM and #30 coach aren't contracted for next year.

Lol, we really bombed in these rankings.

Considering Philly, Boston, LAL, Utah and Orlando are accomplishing exactly what they wanted, I think the case is pretty easy for saying we are the 2nd worst team in the league. Only Milwaukee was shooting for the playoffs and turned out worse than us. Even Hammond got Joe to give up Knight and Middleton for a guy he wasn't going to resign.

The only thing keeping Gores from hitting rock bottom was that he hasn't been able to prove how inept he is to the sport community.

Regardless, Loyer popping at 30 carries no weight. We all know he's terrible and he's just an interim coach anyways.

If anything, he's helped our team bottom out as much as possible- which is a better scenario than when we were just treading water with Cheeks.

Pistons need a screaming mad coach who holds people accountable and put them in their place.

Worst GM + Worst Coach = Worst Ownership

Loyer is clearly the worst, but these lists are suspect. How is Brad Stevens the 11th best coach in the NBA?

I liked him at Butler, but he's done nothing in the NBA. No way he should a guy in his first year with the 5th worst record in the league be ranked above Casey, McHale, Jackson, Adelman, or even Randy Whitman who has a young Wizards team in the playoffs (yet somehow only ranks 24th)

And Hornacek is the 7th best coach in the league after 1 season? yeah right. He did a good job this year but c'mon.

Scott Brooks should be at least 7th, above Stotts, Clifford, Hornacek without question, and maybe even Vogel too.

I wonder if they even look at the rankings after running it through whatever formula they use, and apply any common sense at all before posting. Like after seeing Stevens ranked 11th and Whitman 24th do they even stop to think 'hmmm maybe this formula doesn't work?' lol

Frank never screamed or yelled at anyone. He was a choir boy. If he did try to make players accountable by benching them they never responded, and none of the players feared him at all. Mofo is right they need a disciplinarian, and one that doesn't just scream and yell, but actually gets his message across and puts players in their place.

You don't want a coach that has to scream at a player 24/7, because that just means its not getting through to them. But you do want someone who will scream at them when they mess up, and then don't have to scream at them again because the player learns not to do it again.

I hope ownership is capable... I think Gores inherited a situation and didnt want to clean house right away... waiting until some contracts drop off and then start fresh, building with some cap space and a coach / gm with the same vision

I disagree with everything you said in this post, but I'm too lazy to type out a rebuttal. I guess ESPN's 'experts' agree with my anyway.
