Brandon Jennings is 84th out of 87 PGs in DRMP, at -4.52. That's worse than Jose Calderon. Will Bynum is 80th, Peyton Siva is 37th.

Stuckey is 23rd in ORPM for SGs, while Pope is 75th, but Pope is 8th in DRPM while Stuckey is 85th.

Smith is 8th (among SFs) in DRPM (1.82) for SFs, while Singler is 31st. Smith is 23rd in ORPM (.22), Singler is 43rd.

Monroe is 18th in ORPM (.98), 33rd in DRPM (1.18). Jorts is 6th in PF DRPM (3.07).

Drummond is 68th among Cs in DRPM (-.24) and 12th in ORPM (-.09).

So, by RPM, KCP deserves to start, and Monroe is having just marginally more impact than Smith. Monroe is also not the sieve he is portrayed to be. All of our PGs suck hard.

Unfortunately so many other things factor in so these numbers don't mean a whole lot but they are fun to look at lol

There's a good thread on the GB about this stat, it'll give everyone good perspective on what these numbers mean, or at least what they don't mean. How a player is used is taken has a very real effect on how the data looks. However, I think that the stat in regards to Monroe's defense is worth noting. He really isn't that awful, at least relative to the team.

No need to give up on Pope, but dang is his ORPM awful. I mean, really, really, bad. We have to hope that he finds his shooting stroke next season, because if he can be a decently useful floor spacer for us it'd be great to keep him on the court-he's so much better on defense than our other guys. Also worth noting that due to aging curves, apparently older players are naturally going to come out looking a bit better than younger guys in this stat, so the real gap between KCP and Stuckey, or whoever else plays SG for us, is even larger than it already appears defensively.

Not exactly sure how they figure it out but the WAR looks dead on for just about every player in the league lol
