No, that would leave the Nuggets without a starting 3.

Last night I was thinking about us receiving Faried and Chandler in a 3-team trade while Smith goes to that 3rd squad. But then I thought to myself, besides Drummond, who else will play defense in paint.

Afflalo and Ariza give us stability at the 2 and 3 both ways and Harkless has just as much upside as anyone else at 8.

No chance whatsoever. Gallo and Chandler have positive value, Smith is a huge negative for most teams. Bynum is a net-even at best, while Singler has some positive value as a cheap bench contributor. We're robbing the Nuggets in that deal and it isn't even close.

I would love a healthy Gallo on this team.

That's it, Gallo has been injuried so much time and Smith is a healthy dumb player. Maybe Chandler in here seems unrealistic, but with Robinson or something like that could happen. Robinson could be our Vinnie Johson hahahahaha.

did u overlook the addition of Harkless? A 20 year old sf with about as much upside as anyone else in the 8 pick range. not to mention the short term benefit of adding Afflalo (and long term if u factor in the positive influence he can have on KCP). and getting someone to take on Josh Smith is addition by subtraction.

this deal doesn't happen because of Josh Smith risk for Orlando.

why? derozan is a glorified slasher who still has a shaky outside shot. afflalo and harkless would literally be the perfect fit for our team, especially if we can dump smith in the process.

Because we got the worst perimeter in the NBA, and outside shot is not only 3pt shot, we need a player who can handle the ball, run the offense and play 1 on 1 isolate situations.

Giving up too much here. Afflalo is a beast, but Harkless is unproven. If we keep the pick, I'd much rather pick whoever falls from Wiggins/Parker/Randle/Exum/Vonleh/Lavine/Smart/Gordon. All of those guys have more potential than harkless.
