First round exit since McGrady is on the team.

If you're in fantasy land, why no Isiah?

I almost always go with Isiah over Chauncey. Just going with something different I guess haha.

lol that team might sweep through the whole playoffs. Miami's has 3 superstars. That roster has 7 and three of the best role players in history.

That frontcourt would just own everybody, and the defense would be insane. No one would score on them when they put in the lineup of Hunter/Dumars/Rodman/Rasheed/Big Ben. If you could form the best defensive 5 all-time using any players from any team, that 5 might be it.

Then you got scorers like T-mac, Webber, Chauncey, Rasheed, Dumars, Vinnie. They would be impossible to defend too.

It would blow my mind if they didn't waltz right to the championship.

Additionally- I'd swap T-Mac out with Grant Hill (prime Hill was almost LeBron statistically)

Either way, it would be an insanely deep team that would hold teams to 90 points while scoring 120 a game.

If we've already got scoring from either TMac or Hill along with Billups and Dumars I'd probably just go with Rasheed over Chris Webber.

He can play the right role in that offense without needing the ball as much and you still maintain the nasty defensive side.

A front line of Hill, Sheed, and Ben is like the Bad Boys front line on steroids.

Billups/Dumars/Hill/Sheed/Ben with various other players rounding out the bench would take on all comers pretty easily IMO. No team is guaranteed a championship, but that group would have to be heavy favorites.

Even 3 of random players from that squad in their primes plus roles players would give any team a hell of a time and get deep within the playoffs.

Anything less than a title would be a huge disappointment with that squad.

I can't see them losing more than 1 or 2 games the entire post season with that roster.

That team doesn't lose a game if they are all in their primes. Good lord, if that was a team all in their primes it would be the best team in NBA history.

Dumars and Tayshaun on Lebron. Wade would be closed out with Dumars on him. Bosh is nothing with either Rodman or Wallace on him lmao. They win the championship. Spurs wouldn't compete since Mcgrady and Webber is a huge offense on our team. This isn't fair. We would obviously win.

I know. But it's like saying Payton/Kobe/Fox/Malone/Shaq in their prime against us.

This team would not lose a game in the playoffs. Dumars/Rodman combo shut down MJ, should have no problem with KD or Bron.

McGrady in his prime year(s?) was a 32 ppg scorer as well. I'd start sheed as PF over Webber tho

4-4-4 easily.

But this is unfair. Imagine if the Celtics or the Lakers do the same thing, a nearly greatest of the team history roster.

A greatest players team of Pistons would be one of the best team ever, but there's no way we can compete with the monsters of the East and West.

All Primes:

Shaq/Zo
Bosh
Lebron/Glen Rice
Wade/Allen
Hardaway

That's tough to beat

Its a hypothetical. It can be as unfair as we want it to be.

But yeah, no denying there are other teams that can put together far more impressive all time rosters than that. The Lakers alone go 3 deep in terms of GOAT center candidates, and they have top 5 (or better) players at every other position too (Malone, Baylor, Kobe, Magic) with guys like West, Worthy, Payton, Nash, and two of Wilt/Shaq/Kareem on the bench.

You could make 2 separate teams that would crush the Pistons from that Laker group.

Yikes. :o

Fo, fo, fo.

That team would be the greatest of all time, however, franchises like the Lakers and the Cs all-time teams would probably be better. This might be one of those dumb (but fun) threads for the General Board.
