Detroit Pistons "Real" Cap Space

A post I thought would be interesting to this forum...
"Maximum Cap Space: $27,757,426.00 (if all options were not picked up and all FAs renounced and no draft picks were to be signed this season)
Projected "Real" Cap Space: 9,936,609.00
How I got there:
Guaranteed Contracts (9): Will Bynum, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Luigi Datome, Andre Drummond, Brandon Jennings, Jonas Jerebko (assumes he opts in), Tony Mitchell, Kyle Singler, Josh Smith
Non-Guaranteed Contracts Kept (1): Peyton Siva
Restricted FAs given Qualifying Offers (1): Greg Monroe
FA Cap Holds (0): None
FAs Renounced/Players Waived (4): Chauncey Billups (assumes TO is declined), Josh Harrellson, Rodney Stuckey, Charlie Villanueva
Draft Pick Holds (1): Pick #8 at $2,288,200.00
Expected Exceptions: MLE Non-Tax Exception at $5,305,000.00. BAE at $2,077,000.00
Line of Thinking:
Well, the nightmare of Stuckey (maybe harsh) and Villanueva (not harsh at all) should come to an end. I think they renounce both of them and their large cap holds very quickly. I think it is time for them usher Billups on to the next phase of his career. Maybe with Dumars gone, that Front Office spot (not necessarily the GM) is ready for him. Harrellson is a replacement level big guy. No need to keep him. Siva is an easy keep at the money he is owed.
Monroe and his QO is interesting. It is a large one, but necessary. I don’t think they want to let him walk without any chance of matching or working out a Sign and Trade. I don’t think there is any chance he is back with Detroit next year. I think he’ll get an offer the Pistons either don’t want to match, or they will work out a deal to send him somewhere else. Beyond that, the Pistons have plenty of room to be a player in free agency. I think they will look to balance the roster with Smith at PF, a shooter at SF/SG, and hope for development of KCP. They could possibly be a Hayward destination. He’d be a nice fit at SF or SG for them. I think the Monroe situation has to play out first to have enough space to make a real offer for Hayward though. Beyond that, this roster is close. With the bottom of the Eastern Conference so weak, I think they are in the mix to make a step forward in the playoffs. A much more balanced roster with players in appropriate positions is key though."
