Anthony Morrow a free agent

I know SVG is on it.

Not too athletic but shoots over 40% from 3 when healthy and has a 6'11 wingspan.

I see a first guard off the bench.

You need 2-way wings, 2-way shooting bigs, and you can't allow low iq players on the court. Assist/turnover ratio is crucial. Shooting point guards are icing on the cake IF they are plus defenders.

I like him a lot. I hope we can get him for cheap.

Seems like an ideal replacement piece (as in a better fit) for Stuckey. No problem with signing him!

I would not be surprised if he gets $2.25 mill. per yr. from a team. I have no problem with that.

He doesn't play defense. I wouldn't mind having him on the team to come in and hit a couple threes.

The problem with Morrow is that 3-point shooting is really all he does well. He's a bad defender, and generally underwhelming at every other part of the game.

And that's why he isn't an starter, he's a limited role player, but a couple of great and reliable shooters for 2 millions per year is what this team needs. I think if SVG trust in Datome and gives him some consistent minutes, we'll have 3 reliable shooters, Morrow, Singler and Datome. Seems cool for our big guys.

He's not great at anything but shooting which is why he's never found a niche as a starter.

Given how desperate we are for shooting, though, I still think he's definitely worth a look at the right price.

He's definitely not too athletic or defensive minded, but he does have good length.

I think with his length, SVG could get some suprisingly good positional defense out of him. As long as we keep KCP as starter and eventually get a starter SF that can lockdown, i'm good with Morrow as a backup SG/SF.
I'd put him on a nice 4 year contract, at whatever his market value was, make him comfortable.
