Noah Vonleh might come back to bite the Pistons...

Post#1 » by GreekAlex » Fri Jun 27, 2014 12:43 am

Going into the draft, outside of the lottery (top 3) I thought Noah Vonleh's skill set would have been great to pair with Andre.

I would advocate sign & trading Monroe and letting Noah Vonleh develop while J. Smith is still on the books.

Not too many "Stretch 4's" are also regarded as rim protectors and I think the Pistons might be sick they lost out on him but I hope I'm wrong.

Hell no. All the other teams passed on him anyways despite his rise on the draft boards in the past few weeks

His stock was falling before the draft. Noah's was rising.

Nah, Pistons wouldn't have drafted him anyways. I think Payton is the one that will cause the most regret for us in the future. Regardless, no use crying over spilled milk.

Nah, so far I would have tried to trade that pick if we would have kept it.

Understand that there is no rookie that can make an immediate impact where the Pistons need the most help. This team was expected to be a defensive juggernaut last season. However, defense is much harder for younger teams to grasp, let alone one with chemistry issues.

Vonleh will be "that" player we missed out on and think about how badly joe dropped the ball. He was the guy I wanted all year and when I found out we lost the pick, I took solace in all the predictions having vonleh go before that spot. I really, REALLY hate joe. That fat f*** should have been gone a long time ago. And gores being the wealthy/successful person he is, how could he not understands the implications of giving a playoffs or fired mandate

Vonleh really has nothing to do with your lost pick in my opinion. I think you guys would have picked Payton if anything. I wanted McDermott personally for Charlotte, but Vonleh will do.

We wouldn't have took him anyways, We have a PF problem already were trying to work out and we would have had a 8th pick riding the pine. If we still had that pick McDermott would be a piston right now and to be honest Dinwiddie could end up being better than McDermott at a fraction of the cost.

I would have loved to of had that pick to package Smith with though.

This, He would not have made since for us like he did the Cats. But he's a hell of a prospect and thank god this trade is finally over with.
