Also, Lebron back in our division sucks.

I don't see how having Lebron in CLE is any different than having him in MIA. I don't see this Cavs team being as good as Miami was next season.
Didn't Miami sign McRoberts?

Not sure if they try to rebuild with other guys (Monroe, Bledsoe, Deng all around Wade?), or if they just decide to completely start over and go in the tank and accumulate picks?

I think Miami's top targets will likely be Stephenson / Ariza or Deng / Pau Gasol. They'll want to stay competitive while Wade is still upright.

More of a threat than they were 15 minutes ago. They need a 5, they need offensive talent, and they have a ton of spare money. Even if they're going into a rebuild, why not start off with a young super skilled guy like Monroe?

This makes it even more important to keep Monroe.
Dwight was Cleveland's kryptonite the first time around. Hopefully Drummond continues to be Dwight 2.0, Smith can at least somewhat stay with Lebron and Monroe provides the wild card. They'll likely only have AV, Thompson, and probably Love to throw at us as they'll be capped out quick and have limited means to add a rim protector.

Yeah, that's the question -- does Riley try to keep it going or start the rebuild now. If it's tank mode, then going after Monroe doesn't make sense, but if they want to roll the dice, I think he's an obvious target.

Do they still owe picks to CLE and TOR?
If so, they might be forced to try and win more. They don't want to convey lottery picks like we have....

I think Cleveland owns 2015 protected and 2017 unprotected Miami Firsts

I think a SF like Ariza or Deng will be offered a big contract.
They need a pair of bigs, probably will bring back UD and Birdman, but they need scoring. That means Gasol or Monroe.
They could use a PG yet, so Bledsoe would make a ton of sense. If they can't get him, no idea, maybe Mario back because the options are just not there.

It's only 1 pick, protected in '15 & '16 and unprotected in '17.
They'll get the "I lost my meal ticket" lottery bump.

If Monroe goes to Miami without a s&t that leaves us around $18M in cap space to find a SF and a PG, I'm OK with that but this is why we should have traded him before the deadline.

I think I'd actually be ok with this if we can get a major piece to sign. It'd be just like us signing and trading Moose for Bledsoe, instead we'd just have to worry about Phoenix matching, which I don't think they'd do if we max him. This Monroe situation needs to get addressed ASAP though because it's going to hold up our other moves. I'm hoping whoever throws him an offer (it's really only between Phoenix and Miami at this point) hurries up with it.

Even if the Heat offered Monroe a deal, we'll still end up matching. Our team needs to keep and add assets not lose them.

Wade is still upright?

Probably not after that gut punch from Lebron

They are absolutely a threat.
