This is Kyle Singler for sure. I don't know if any of you watched OKC, but if you did, you'd know that Butler was pretty washed up. He can't be relied on for anything more than spot up shooting and veteran leadership. Singler is much more mobile and remains an intelligent player, even if he isn't quit as good of a spot up shooter.

Singler is the only legitimate candidate here. Butler can't play starters minutes, Datome hasn't proved to be capable of playing in the NBA yet, Smith is NOT a small forward, Martin is end of bench fodder.

Singler. Though I hope this is the last year he;s penciled in as a starter anywhere for us. Use 2015 lotto first rounder to grab a SF.

Can KCP play SF? Maybe start both Meeks at SG and Caldwell-Pope at SF...

I voted for Singler. KCP at SF would be interesting though (although I think he's better suited to SG).

We are paying 5.6-5.7M for Martin and Butler

Im not saying i want Ariza but 6M is alot of money to spend on bench players

Singler for sure. He may not have much upside, but he's does the right things.
I'm hoping Gigi gets a real opportunity this year. He looked kinda lost last year, but i think he could find a spot on the team.
I'm not sure what butler but i guess he'll be the primary back up. Martin will only see a few minutes. And hopefully Smith won't see a single minute at SF.

Detroit has to overpay and shooting is at a premium. Ariza wouldn't come here for 8M.

To go to Dallas. We had to pay 6.5m/yr to get Meeks who could also end up as a bench player. Ariza also has a history of over-performing in contract years.

While I would be all for a lottery level SF, recent drafts haven't had much luck in the top 10 picks at the position. Most recent ones that come to mind are Otto porter, Harrison Barnes, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Derrick Williams, Wesley Johnson and Aminu :/

Took me going back to 2010 to find Paul George and Gordon Hayward as decent top 10 picks at the position. Just seems to be a position where teams go for athletic potential and it rarely pans out...

I don't believe Singler is nearly as bad as some people make him out to be.

He's certainly capable of logging 28-32 minutes on the wing. His individual D might not be anything to rave about but no one rates JJ Redick either and SVG is on record defending JJ - Singler might end up in the same boat

Butler, Jerebko & Datome can fight for the other 16-20 minutes. That's not terrible IF SVG can get them to play a role

If Monroe returns I got us running with Smith as our part-time 3 again. If Monroe doesn't return, I got Butler starting at the 3. I've seen enough of Singler in starting lineup, every time he starts we're not competitive.

Singler is best utilized as a bench player.

Too bad there wasn't an option "Make a trade and get a real SF"

Singler/Butler seems like they will take the majority of minutes with Singler starting.

What's sad is that besides Memphis and Tayshaun Prince we have the worst SF line up in the league

Agreed, I actually like him. Hes a guy who gives 100% everytime he sees the court and is pretty efficient. His flaws are his defense and his passing awareness but he will make for a good backup eventually when we can get a legit starter.

Singler would make a solid 8th man type - even on a contender. He's just not a starter in this league IMO. Put him on San Antonio and he'd be talked about as a great bench/role player in no time. He could do that here as well.

I would love to have MKG on this team right now, with Drummond and KCP we could be disgusting defensively for the next 10 years, aren't they all just 21 years old too?

Anyway, I went with Butler starting hoping his veteraness rubs off on Smith right at opening tip, Smoove playing smart ball at his natural position could be a huge difference maker for us. I still want Singler playing more minutes though.

Augustin and a stretch 4 would would solve that problem quickly.

SFs out of this draft don't look as risky, Parker and Wiggins for example lol. The lottery has always been a crapshoot, I look at it like NCAA football, more about the system than the 5-star recruits. The Spurs for example go after guys they know have s place in the league, their system brings out the best a lot of times and they're not afraid to move up and grab a guy they really like, Leonard for example.
