Can't shoot. Tries on defense but has physical limitations. Average facilitator. Great teammate.

I think everyone on the team liked him and the fans appreciated him because he plays hard.
IMO though, he probably isn't an NBA point guard at this point. He can't shoot from outside and doesn't have the AA to finish over NBA shotblockers. Eventually, he might improve his shot enough to be servicable, but it probably won't be this year.

His athletic ability scored well at the combine. We didn't see it translate to much success on the court, but I never felt like he got a decent chance. I had hopes that he would be a competent floor leader who could be a disrupter on defense. I did see some hints of the floor leader--but sometimes not so much. So, who knows. The defense he played didn't live up to my expectations either. Still, he barely played, and he might still develop. I would like to have seen him on the team as a third point guard option.

Peyton is an undersized (hard to miss that) deceptively athletic (one of the stronger & faster PGs with leaping a ability in his draft class) hardworker. He is steady yet unspectacular at running the offense. He actually reminds me of your Orlando Magic head coach back in his playing days.
He is not a shooter, but not quite as bad as Jacque was back in the day. He's a pass first, pass second pg who will reluctantly take a shot in a pinch.

He'll make a great bobblehead giveaway.

His ceiling is about at Travis Deiners level.

Like about every other second round pick over the last several years, fans were irrationally high on him. The current version is Dinwiddie.

I dunno... the ones we don't actually keep sometimes turn out pretty well (Amir Johnson, Khris Middleton, and I'm sure I'm forgetting a couple).

I was high on Siva based off his NCAA tournament and final college season. But, it was apparent even in Summer league before his rookie year that he wasn't at the NBA level. I still had hopes for him sticking but when he did get minutes towards the end of the season, he was underwhelming. He isn't horrible, but is more of a D-Leager than a NBA rotation player.
