I love blunt coaches that saay it like it is. popovich is like that too. it pretty much makes players more aware and accountable which is what WE NEEEDED.

Yup. Great athlete, great effort, but still plays too much with his hands and not enough with his feet.

I have a lot of confidence SVG is going to turn KCP into a very good player.

I been telling them and started a SVG Postgame Interview thread where I will post every interview he does this season in there.

Aside from that, finishing better at the rim would help. Jennings shot 44.8 percent in the paint last season, which doesn't seem bad considering his diminutive frame. But Clippers guard Chris Paul shot 58.5 percent and Spurs guard Tony Parker shot 58.2 percent in the same area.

On Kentavious Caldwell-Pope’s injury:
“I thought our guys bounced back and competed pretty well. They are concerned now, but I thought they hung in there pretty good. He has a knee sprain, we will reevaluate it going forward. We will get him an MRI and we will go from there.”

On Andre Drummond:
“I really loved the way he played the game early. I loved the energy he brought to the game. He’s becoming much more patient in the post, much more efficient. He also made that pass to Kyle (Singler) for the three. He’s just much more solid down there right now. I really, really like what he is doing. I thought early in the game, particularly, he was really good defensively too. As the game went on, he got tired, and he had a couple of bad fouls that he can prevent. We are nit-picking a little there. Overall, I thought he was very, very good, by far, the best he’s played this year including practice and scrimmages.”

On the combination of Andre Drummond and Greg Monroe:
“It gives us a lot of size. We feel like we can overpower people down low. We should be able to rebound with those two guys too. We come out of that game where they play 63 combined minutes and we are minus 10 on the glass. That doesn’t sit well with me.”

On the game:
“Efficient from the floor. Not as much from the line. The free-throw shooting was really the deal in the game today. We got outrebounded by 10. We should not be a team getting outrebounded on the boards the way we are. I don’t like that. That’s probably the one thing I’m upset about. We cut our turnovers in the second half after a really sloppy first half.”
