Good stuff man, I seriously thought he tore it by the way he slipped and twisted it backwards.

He is essential to us winning games. Basically our only perimeter scorer right now.

Excellent. Although our 2-guard is a bit thin for the rest of pre-season if Meeks continues to have back spasms.

Bullet - dodged.
We need an emoticon for "bullet-dodged"
KCP, it seems to me, will become one of the better SG's in the game over the next few seasons - a guy who won't be a Wade like superstar, but who will be a legit all-star caliber player, and a guy we build this team around.

My only fear is that Meeks will come back and push ahead of KCP just enough to earn the starting spot while KCP is sitting on the bench.

If this proves entirely correct, and KCP keeps defending and scoring like he has been, then he's going to play a major role in the team's progress. If the Pistons are to emerge as something other than being among the dregs of the league, KCP's scoring and defending will be essential. His, along with Drummond's, have been the compelling stories in the early going. Meeks is a nice piece, and should be appreciated for what he is. Fingers crossed...

I think the sky is the limit for KCP,right now we dont know how great of a scorer he can be,right now the compairisons look like AA,but he could become a top 5 sg in this league. If kcp turns into a 20 ppg scorerer,we will be alot more close to contending than we might have thought.I know people are going to say slow down with the Kcp hype, but the kid has all the tools to become a top sg/player in this league,he has the drive/determination/skill.
After yesterdays game tho, heres a big KNOCK ON WOOD!!!!!!

Honestly, I've seen a decent enough of KCP to say that he's going to be in the league for a decent amount of time. With SVG pushing him and guiding him along with Hardaway (who we recently hired, right?) he's primed to be our next Rip + defensive intensity of Tony Allen. He's definitely one of the younger pieces you build a powerful team with.
I'm so glad he's alright and with the way he plays and hustles, I'm surprised he's not injury prone, which is great.

Iam real excited as well.Imagine if we land a pg that can pass/defend/score to pair with kcp, back court would be set.Find a decent sf and were looking really good, not to mention vangundy at the helm.
We also have dinwiddle, which is fun to hope he turns into something special.
EXCITING TIMES PISTON FANS!!!!!!

Music to my ears!
KCP is our best perimeter defender by a country mile, even with his tendency to foul. And, his offense has been on since the summer.

Why is that a fear?

Because I think KCP, with his skill set, recent performance, and potential, should clearly be the starter. I don't want Meeks stunting KCP's growith. Plus, I think KCP can be an elite defender and I prefer defense in the starting lineup. Meeks strikes me more as a 6th man who will get a lot of open looks from Monroe drawing attention in the paint. I've come around to the Meeks signing after not being too thrilled about but I will be upset if he is limiting the development of our future franchise building blocks, something KCP has a legitimate chance to be.

I've seen some compare KCP to Eddie Jones...and I don't think that's out of the question.
Jones was quality and if KCP can continue to develop he would certainly be a piece to build around.

The thread title is misleading. KCP is going to die. We're all going to die. It's inevitable.
