Shabazz?

Post#1 » by Han Solo » Thu Oct 30, 2014 4:01 am

He can play. Watch him before you say he's a bust. He's better than any SF we have on the team. What would it take to get him away from Minnesota? He's young and fits the mold of a player some have wrote off a bit and has game. I believe he will start somewhere and Minnesota will look to move him with Wiggins there. Right now would be a good time to inquire if you're Van Gundy.

Being a better SF that what we have isn't saying much.

It's gonna take KCP. The Wolves coveted him on draft night.

KCP's potential on defense is still a huge asset too.

Definitely still think the guy has a chance to be something, but I don't want to pay the price right now.

He's a bull. Tough as nails.. The price right now may be cheaper than later and we need a SF right now. He can shoot too.

He's not on the Dre-level of being passed-up, but this kid is definitely a starting caliber small-forward. I watched the game a bit tonight and he looked great.

Theres really no deal to be made. Unless you want to give up a 1st or KCP.

No draft picks whatsoever.. I wish there was a way to get this kid.. Playing behind Wiggins will hide his talent a bit and mark my words, some team will swoop in and pick him up.

We'll get a front-row seat for him tomorrow.. He played around 22 mins tonight. Wiggins got into foul trouble..

I wouldnt mind taking a chance on him,but like others have said,it will take some pieces to get him that I wouldnt want to give up.Another thing is why would the wolfs want to get rid of him if he has the potential to be a starting sf or at the very least a very good backup, they have him on a rookie contract and when his contract is up,they more than likely can resign him for cheap, because no one will be able to really see what he could do if he was a starter.

If they were eager to let him go might mean theres something there they dont want to deal with for much longer.

If we could get him for taking on a contract,I would do it,but I dont see that happening.

I still think we should wait cuz it looks to be some decent players we can pick up like Jimmy butler, Harrison Barnes, and maybe even Kawhi Leonard.

Shabazz looked like the toughest player on the Wolves tonight by far.. He was also very effective. May just be a pipe dream, but he would be better than Singler, that's for sure.

he's too small. this team is already small enough and to bring in an undersized 3 would just be a killer

Watch him play.. He's 6'6, that's not that much undersized and he carries his weight well.. He is a brute that can shoot.

I believe he's been on some insane exercise thing over the off-season and it's apparently helped him a lot.

Say what you like about a guy's talent or ego but you can't deny he's not driven - and that's half the battle IMO

He was down to 215 lbs earlier in training camp. Was at 242 lbs last training camp.

Shabazz had a nice game last night, we'll get to see more of him against Detroit tonight.

Minnie is looking to off-load Budinger right now, and Brewer afterwards (is what I'm hearing).

Minnie likely isn't interested in moving cheap, young players. Wiggins is far from a proven player, his first game was underwhelming.

I totally agree with you.. Although, Wiggins is that team's future and will be given a full 4 years and every opportunity to succeed.
