Don't know about you guys, but every game is a must watch

Post#1 » by AnnArborpiston » Fri Nov 7, 2014 3:20 am

I shouldn't feel this way, but every game this season feels like an NFL season where wins are so hard to come by. Makes it on the edge viewing. When the going to work Pistons were at the top, regular season games were so boring. They just cruised throughout the first 3 quarters, then did enough to win and get into the playoffs. Now wins are so hard to come by it's must watch TV for me.

For me it's about seeing the development of the team. I've been watching the Pistons the past 5 years and all I see is them getting worse and worse. This year though, I see a difference in defense and ball movement. Still can't believe watching Jennings play the way he is. He's a baller out there.

Yea...sorry, maybe I'm not a good fan, but I have a hard time watching night in, night out when the team is awful....

It's like a buffet with my favorite food, but I'm forced to eat my most hated food as well. And the hated food doesn't go down as smoooovely as it sounds.

That sounded really dramatic, but oh well.

Need the down years to make you appreciate the good years. I'm pretty spoiled...I became a fan back in 2002 after attending my first game and right away became spoiled with two back to back 50 win seasons and then onto a championship and the next couple of years of being very elite. I appreciate those days much more now after these last 5 years.

I've watched the first 4 games, and plan to watch as many as I can. But, I'm not blaming anyone who checks out from time to time. This team can play some of the most unwatchable basketball I've ever seen.

At the moment we've got too many regular contributors shooting well below 40% for this team to be particularly watchable.

Its still not as bad as last year (yet) but yeah, I don't take this position. I watched religiously when the team was good. I've watched every game so far but if this year is like last year, that will wane considerably as the year goes on.

Last year got bad but it didn't start off bad. Yes we were still under .500 but we were close to playing that way. It all started to fall apart late Dec and early Jan.

After 20+ years of watching most games per year I have been tuned out for about 1.5 years. Not really interested in the current team as constructed. We aren't going anywhere with Smith on the roster and GM is gone in 8 months. I will watch the Drummond highlights and if we have a nat TV game I definitely tune in but that's about it.

I read more Pistons news and tweets, realgm, reddit, etc than I actually watch the games per week.

Subtract Josh Smith from this team and I agree 1000%

I tend to watch early in the season the last couple years, but we were so awful to watch last year I think I stopped before mid season, and hardly ever watched even 2/3 of a full game. I watched games 1&2 and thought we played better than I'd seen in years and just lost, I missed game 3, and 4 was a horrible end but we won.
I think we will continue to improve, but really Meeks is going to help. We just don't have any effecient offensive players. Meeks, Dwiddle, and Martin are our hopes and there not playing. Augestine has been a nice pickup, Butlers holding it down. I'm convinced we are going to finish above .500 but to do that we can't really give but 2-3 more away than we already have.

This, I still watch and look forward to every game but Smith just pisses me off so bad.

I've watched (or listened to at work back when I used to do some second job **** at a community center as a janitor) roughly 80% of games over the last five years. Lots of hard to watch games, lots of fun moments. I went to like 10 games last year and can't wait to go to more this year. I will say that it has begun to wear me down now, I actually turned off a game because of how bad we played this season already which is something I tried not to do for a long time. For now I'm just excited for the future. In SVG we trust.

Every game for me is a must watch until the pistons fall 20 or 30 games under .500

I feel, like some, that besides watching a few key players, I cant really watch them every game, because of the learning stage/process the current roster is going thru. Over the years, I have seen enough of those types of games. I'll really invest, when they have a legitimate chance at winning any given night. With that said, I usually watch a bunch of the first 10-15 games to see if "its" there. This season though, I'll hang just a little longer, seeing as how we have a real coach for the first time in what seems like forever. Next year is when I'll take a real interest, as the shakeup will have been complete by then.

I might reevaluate this if Smith starts making more than one third of his shots.

Man, sure glad his efficiency got that boost from switching to PF that we were always promised by his defenders. :o
