G12 ~ Suns (6-5) @ Pistons (3-8) ~ 7:30 PM EST

this should be a good game, the suns play at a high pace and we like to slow things down. we should be able to match their athleticism on defense but athletic teams seem to bother us when we're on offense, at least Orlando and Milwaukee did and the suns could potentially give us the same fits.
in case you guys were wondering about the suns and their small-ball lineups, they really don't play all three of dragic, Bledsoe and Thomas at the same time. they only play Thomas and dragic together about 18% of the time and they play Thomas with Bledsoe even less than that. they prefer to play Thomas more with green and keep dragic and Bledsoe on the floor at the same time (roughly 50% of games).
fun (and surprising) fact: despite KCP and some of his awful games shooting (he's shooting 33% from downtown on the season, which is respectable), despite josh smith and his 20% shooting from downtown and despite having 'no wing players', the pistons are actually shooting well from downtown. they are above league average in 3P% and they take more 3's than league average too. that makes me excited for when meeks gets back, as well as throwing martin in the mix.
STARTERS
Brandon Jennings
KCP
Josh Smith
Greg Monroe
Andre Drummond
Goran Dragic
Eric Bledsoe
Marcus Morris
Markieff Morris
Miles Plumlee
I think Drummond has the chance for a bounce-back game, the suns aren't the best at guarding bigs and he showed some flashes against the magic, especially defensively.
I think we're due for a win, go pistons!

I'm not looking forward to any games anymore as long as Smith is on the roster. This game might be the first game that I miss this season. I really don't care if we win or not. Seriously. The roster is a mess and it's clear that we haven't improved from the first game of the season. And anyone denying that is in complete denial. Sorry for being pessimistic but I really can't see this team going anywhere whether we win or not.

Yeah... there has definitely been improvement that I have saw since the first game. Doubt we win this one, but I don't care. I'll watch and hope that Drummond gets some good attempts as well as Jennings continuing to look more in control of the offense.

Agreed, hard to get excited about the team. Also disappointed in SVG's insistence on starting the big 3 and not impressed with his rotations so far. We aren't winning anymore than we did with Cheeks/Loyer

there's definitely been improvement imo, it just hasn't ended in results yet.
believe it or not I still think we'll finish .500 at the end of the year.

Im losing alot of interest as well. Teams still sucks, Monroe will be gone, Smith is still here, KCP cant shoot and Drummond has been the biggest disappointment of all. This team is just awful and currently has a dim future. I would rather they just keep on losing and maybe we can hope for a real high pick to add some talent.

Will be a fun game to watch. But, the blow out potential is high.

1st round exit is probably the worst case scenario for our team
We need to hope SVG trades Monroe/Smith, tanks, and drafts well
We are sitting bw 7-8th pick once again hopefully we wont finish 4-5 games out of the top 5 like last year

This hasn't been close to a playoff team with this roster in previous year, and certainly isn't playing like it now.
I get people counting playoff chickens before they hatched in the offseason, but I have no idea why anyone is counting them now that we're 3-8.
I'm not saying playoffs is impossible, but the evidence isn't there right now.

No game is a good game unless the Pistons lose. Tank on.

SVG and lose unintentionally belong in the same sentence

To tank you have to play your bad players big minutes. Aren't we already doing that?

Ouch, that signing keeps finding ways to look worse and worse.

http://www.rotoworld.com/recent/nba/1594/jodie-meeksStan Van Gundy stated during a recent interview that Jodie Meeks could be out until February, and he'll be eased into the rotation upon his return.
"[Meeks] will not be back before mid-December, which is really about nine and a half weeks before he's actually playing in a game," said Van Gundy. While Meeks is sidelined, Caron Butler and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope will continue to help man the shooting guard position, with KCP being the starter. It sounds like Meeks is still a long ways away from contributing to the stat sheet in a meaningful way, so owners in standard leagues can continue to leave him untouched on the waiver wire.
