Brandon Jennings, Greg Monroe, Digi Datome, and Jarebko for Jordan Hill, Jeremy Lin, LAL 2014/15 1st rd Pick. Anyone think they do it? We then wait for the time to trade Augestine, Swap Singler for Kyle Anderson. Now we are effectively rebuilding around Drummond and Pope, and will get two lottery picks in June. I think Kobe would want it, and all the players on board would be happy. Lin can use his Harvard Economics degree and start rebuilding the states economy, and sell some jerseys. We can run lineups with Anderson handling the ball with Pope and Meeks at the guards. Even though we take an immediate talent down grade, I really don't think we win less games, and we'll be growing our future crop.

Greg Monroe has a no-trade clause, I'd wager he says "no", as he doesn't want to lose his bird rights just to go to another lottery team.

Additionally, the Lakers pick goes to another team (Phoenix maybe?) if it's outside the top 5 or top 10, so they can't trade their pick.

I don't want to seem like a nazi, but people should at least half-research the players/assets before wasting people's time with these illegal trades. It's not even whether it's realistic or not, the league simply won't allow them.

Being a Pistons fan, you should at least be aware of Monroe's contract situation.

PHX has the Lakers pick from the Nash trade unless it's top 5, that's why they are selling the Kobe show on a team of role players.


And1 in regards to trade research. It's really not hard, use the trade machine and realgm has a recap of owed draft picks.

If this is a trade to try and tank then I would go Nash, Lin, and Sacre for jennings and Smith and then try to throw some big contracts at Monroe and SF's in off season.

No picks involved, just good ol fashion swaps.

Smith for Nash makes sense

Hill, Smith, Johnson, Kobe, Lin with Boozer, Davis, Young and Price off their bench.

We clear the biggest problem AND clear some cap.

Smith + Kobe jacking every shot every night guarantees the Lakers a top 3 pick

I was thinking nash and a second round pick for smith.

I think it would be fairly win-win, except that the lakers already have boozer, hill and randle (going forward) as their big men, so they would have to play smith at the 3, which they may not want to do.

Smith for Nash is always an interesting one... but they may value the upcoming cap space more than current performance. They really have to suck in order to keep their first round pick. The Suns could make the playoffs and still end up with a great draft pick

Edit: it's also been suggested a ton, but the idea of trading like 6 players in-season is insane. SAS would not do Anderson for Singer IMO. Lakers wouldn't do your suggested trade even if it was possible.

Boozer can not be traded. I'd be okay with Lin. He's an expensive expiring but it's not my money anyway.

I know most trade ideas on here are hideous but for future reference, Greg Monroe will obviously not be traded this season.

If the Pistons could nab second rounder and a buy out of Nash, I'd be down for it. I'm done with Smith, Monroe, and Jennings,
