Brady Heslip tearing up the D-League- next 3-point assassin?

Post#1 » by Kilo » Sun Nov 30, 2014 1:27 am

Detroit should think about opening up a roster spot to sign this kid -

http://stats.nbadleague.com/playerGameL ... PerPage=25

In five D-League games -

11-18
9-18
5-7
7-12
13-20

Those are not his shots per game - those are his three point baskets and shot attempts in each of his first five games this season. He's averaging 8 for 14 per game, shooting at a 58% clip!!

Jimmer's struggles are meaningless to the prospects of Heslip.

(Who knows if Brady can guard anybody at the NBA level of course, but guys can make careers as nothing but three point bombers)

Why exactly? He was unathletic by college standards and also a bad defender. If jimmer can't succeed. Brad sure damn sure can't

I don't understand the logic there. Two different players are in lockstep for their career prospects? Because of what? Their 3pt shooting ability?

Players like that don't succeed. That's the point.

That's one guy. Maybe there is a trend there, but I don't know of another player quite like Jimmer that I would even be able to compare him to. Steph Curry when he was at Davidson is the only other guy I can think of, and look how he turned out. (Obviously neither are even close to Curry's level)

if i put a blindfold on my dog and tied his hindlegs together he'd still average a double double in the d league.

The amount of threes his taking and making is absolutely ridiculous. :o

Dunno how he would do in the NBA but you rarely see that kind of efficiency on any level of play.

That Novak guy was able to find a way to be useful for a good team, two years ago Knicks? And he was a big liability everywhere else.

That guy that was in dleague for the rockets? Troy Daniels, good 3pt shooter, but I think he was less of a liability in other parts.

Just depends on if this guy can do anything else even close to an NBA level.

Novak was at the very least a big who didn't need to drift To the perimeter on D. Troy is a better defender.

I really want to see Jimmer play a season at the NBDL. He'd put up eye candy stats. :) lol

It's such a fine line between stupid and clever.
