G18 - Lakers (4-13) @ Pistons (3-14) - 7:30 PM EST

Post#1 » by Ghost » Tue Dec 2, 2014 2:59 pm

The battle of the phantom tank teams .

Most people believe that the Pistons were not suppose to be "this bad", however, it might actually be a good thing for us in the long run. I think everyone expected the Lakers to be bad, but with Kobe, I don't think it was suppose to be "this bad" either. Kobe has been put on a team where he is the only good player, and it will be interesting to see what KCP shows up to play against him. We all know Kobe is going to take his shots regardless, so if KCP can hold him to a low efficiency night, we will stand a better chance ... if he can't play defense tonight, we will get to see a 40 pt game from Kobe  .

All of our bigs should be able to have good games. It will be interesting to see if SVG goes back to the "big 3" lineup, or if he sticks with Monroe coming off of the bench.

Starting lineups:
Brandon Jennings
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope
Someone
Someone Else
Andre Drummond

Jeremy Lin
Kobe Bryant
Wesley Johnson(?)
Carlos Boozer
Jordan Hill

Some interesting information since the game most likely won't be interesting: Swaggy P explaining how he met Iggy ( http://www.musictimes.com/articles/1783 ... azalea.htm ). and of course:

I'd definitely take Nick Young over JSmoove right now, at least least Young makes me laugh.

The thought of losing to a lakers team that is this bad just makes me sick, so I have to predict a win. We should have a huge advantage inside and lin can't stay in front of jennings. A young kobe would have destroyed us inside, but this version seems content to post up and take jumpers. He'll get his that way, but they don't have enough other guys who can score without Kobe setting them up.

This Lakers team just beat the Raptors in Toronto in OT and lost to the Grizzlies by only 6

We will lose this game, Kobe and Nick Young go off

With SVG starting Smith and Singler again, I fully expect Smith to have another sub 40% shooting night while leading us in FGA, which will inevitably lead to yet another loss. 3-15 here we come.

We're winning the next three. KCP's legend begins tonight as he locks down Kobe Bean Bryant.

Lakers will win, we have no offense and no closer. Kobes old but he can still finish out a game I n the 4th qtr which is something we just dont have. It will probably be a tied game through 3 and then Kobe will wrap it up in the 4th and we lose by 10.

I want us to lose, there's no point in salvaging this season, unless we can pull off a miracle like the Raptors did when they traded Gay away which made them instantly better. Let's just get a high pick and move on, seriously, we never done that when we should have the last 5 years.

Not feeling the whole "we're winning the next three", but KCP has a great opportunity to show the league what he has tonight. hopefully he turns up.

it sounds like some of you guys expect (or want?) us to go 3-79 this year.

for what it's worth, basketball-reference says we have a 55% chance of winning tonight and vegas has us favoured by a point and a half.

Well that would put us 2 games ahead of Philly for the lottery (assuming they lose everything except the 5 against us). so sure.

We certainly don't play like a team that wants to win many games.

As long as we're in contention for a top pick (finally), I'm fine with however big this garbage fire of a season ends.

I've never been one to want my team to tank. But... there's no reason not to at this point. This season already feels like its over and I'm not confident in this team turning it around as long as Smith is on the team. I'm only watching these games just to see Dre,KCP and Dinwiddie and hope they play well.

If Zach Lavine can give Kobe 28 pts we better pray KCP can light him up to

Haven't been watching lately. No reason to lol, but will watch these next 3 games. Not super optimistic this season but if we go 3-0 this week and dig ourselves out of this whole a bit while we trade smith this month and get jodie back, look out lol. But fr we are only 4 games out of 8th. Yes we are awful ik but December will be a very important month to decide if we should just give up and tank or try and turn this around if possible.

Well Kobe shoots like 39% on the season so it shouldn't be that tough.
