The Meeting of Two Juggernauts ~ Sixers @ Pistons

Post#1 » by whitehops » Sat Dec 6, 2014 4:40 pm

this is a heavyweight matchup early in the season. neither team knows how to win and yet - one must.

the 6-and-76ers are in town tonight, who do you think wins?

We already really hurt our tanking chances with our "win" against New York earlier in the season

This is a must lose

Someone roll out the tank with Smith and SVG driving it, mb with Dumars' face as the head badge

I wanna lose but I just cant see that happening. This is just one of those matchups where we just over talent them at every position. Pistons win by 20, we better go on a big losing streak after this one though.

it might be worth contacting Turbo_Zone over on the raps board, he makes the best gifs. he made a bunch of sigs with gifs in them last year when raps fans wanted to tank (before they traded gay) and he sorted out bulls fans with some awesome sigs too after rose went down.

seriously though, if we lose to the sixers tonight

Looks like the Pistons will go with a more free flowing offense tonight. I wonder if that will aid in the ability for anyone to hit a shot?

God, I hope we lose tonight. That would be awesome.

The Pistons are like an alcoholic who still won't admit they have a problem. You can't help them until they hit rock bottom.

This is just about the time of year they go on a little win streak... maybe winning 3 out of 4 games... just to get your hopes up before they suck again for another month going 2-13.

Can we expect Drummond to have a huge game tonight?

Last season he had huge games against them. Even a 32pt, 16reb and 6stls game. Not sure though with Noel around this time.

Wow, this epic battle must be stickied.

And honestly, I still can't root for us to lose. I've done it before and it just makes me feel too terrible. I also don't think having our worst season yet is going to help this team progress. The Clippers used to get top 5 pick after top 5 pick and things didn't really change for them until the culture did.

Were going nowhere with thos roster though. Im getting really high on Stanley Johnson with a top 5 pick. We draft our SF of the future and look to move Jennings at the deadline or offseason seeing as he will only have 1 year left at 8 mil. Then sign a good PG in FA, im thinking throw a big deal at Dragic and the Suns wont match. Then come next years trade deadline Smith will be in the same boat that Jennings will be this season as far as contracts and years left go, So we can probably move him as well. Basically next season I want something like this-

Dragic/Dinwiddie
KCP/Meeks
Johnson/Singler
Smith/FA
Drummond/FA

I mean, whatever about Dragic, who knows.

HOOOOWWWEVVVEER.. Arizona is down, it's late in the game, and Mr. Johnson is in. He hit a 3 a couple possessions ago and now he just drew a foul from posting up on someone. I got to check him out more :).

Hes going to be a good player. Not superstar or anything but just one of those guys who can play right in a system and impact the game on both sides of the court. Just athletic as hell with great size at the 3 too. Hes going to be something like a Jimmy Butler or Kawhi Leonard type.
