Where does it say that? I thought this thread was about wanting to trade for him, Who cares who wants him in FA.

Everybody is interested in Monroe except for us. If it was me I would've maxed him out two years ago. He's gone. So be it. We'll max another player out. Forget about it.

Monroe isn't likely to waive his bird rights to get traded.

Any team who wants him can grab him this summer without compensating Detroit.

The only team I think should trade for him is OKC for a chance of a Championship.

I guess but I don't see Greg accepting that trade or Bucks taking that risk of losing a pick. But with OKC what player doesn't want to play for a contender and they need a cheap post player a win win to me but all I want is a pick and maybe a young player if they are willing to give one up.

Definitely him and a pick would be pretty nice.

No way we get PJ3 + pick.

Lol why? What the **** has PJ3 done in the league? I consider Jackson to be of higher value and I would ask for Jackson and a first for Monroe.

Nothing wrong with asking, but asking and getting are two completely different things.

With the premise that Moose takes them over the hill then yes, they'dneed to include a pick and however they won't

Also, salaries don't match up.

It would have to be something like Monroe + Caron or Jonas for Perk + PJIII.

The best we can hope for is to sign and trade him this summer. I don't think he'll accept a trade now and lose his bird rights. And even if we can do a sign and trade this summer, I wouldn't expect a heck of a lot back in return.

Monroe doesn't care about losing his Bird rights. The only way he can keep them is if he signs with Detroit. And since he most likely isn't, he could care less about them.

Losing Bird Rights would result in about a 25% pay cut. He cant afford to lose that much leverage. Its not about likelihood as opposed to possibility. Taking Detroit or whatever current team he is on out of the bidding lowers his ceiling and reduces his earnings dramatically.

If he was to stay he would have renewed his contract on the off-season. You don't take that kind of risk if you were all about the money, and it's really apparent he has other things in mind. The Pistons has been a mess since he got drafted and I can't really blame him if he was looking to leave.

Monroe will have a lot of suitors this off season and will get his max contract. I see him as a Spur to be honest. And he will not be traded this season, it makes no sense for him to agree to a trade.
