He's one of the main reasons i'm still watching , he's come along way since last year . His shot isn't always there yet but you can see him doing more and more on the court. I hope he stays the starter for the rest of the yr myself.

You can see the differences in his playstyle between this year and last year which is a good thing.

Don't get me wrong, he's still streaky and I don't think he's used to getting the massive minutes since we have a hole in our 2 guard lineup with Meeks injured and SVG refusing to go to the Mayor.

Otherwise, yeah, he's looking like one of the better players of his draft.

I think he'll benefit from heading to the bench and seeing a reduction in minutes when Meeks is healthy. I still like his future, but he's more a development guy than one ready from day one type. I'm comfortable with him at SG long term IF we bring in a SF #1 scorer type some way some how.

He's a keeper, however he's most likley to be traded. it honestly depends on SVG ultimate goal, which i really couldn't tell you what.

If he wants to win now, KCP, DInwiddie are prime canditates for trade as they are still young , and ooze potential and they have shown enough this year to encourage that thought. HOWEVER , they are still going to through growing pains, and if we want to win now, we can't afford to let them develop. We probably could survive with KCP developing as his Defense is already at leas ton par in the NBA, but in reality we'd be better suited trading for a ready now player.

If we want to build our future. We keep KCP, he's oozes detroit basketball. Has a attitude about him and is a hard worker. He's exactly the player i want developing next to Dre.

I personally hope we keep him , i think he's online to be a better version of Arron A.

Hes the only player on the team other than Caron who always gives it his all every game. If you want to change the culture of the team, hes the guy you don't trade.

He plays hard but that doesn't mean he deserves to start especially if meeks comes back and can shoot 40% from deep. Give him at least three years. How long did it take derozan to be a good player ???

He's terrible. Scores on Josh Smith-esque efficiency and plays average defense at a shallow position.

I think his ceiling is a solid starting guard. I don't think he will ever be a star, or garner any all-star buzz.

I wouldn't regard him as a building block and would gladly include him in a trade if the returns would improve the team.

Major let down. Wildly inconsistent. The fact that he is playing so hard and giving it his all and this is the final result is disappointing. Feels like an 8th man to me.

Where is the consistency? Making jumpers was supposedly his biggest strength coming into the draft and yet he misses so many wide open jumpers that it's just frustrating to watch. It also doesn't look like KCP has improved on defense, either.

Regardless, at this point, we can just wait and watch KCP's improvement through the current season. I am also OK if he gets moved in a trade.

Hard worker.

Driven.

One of the few on the team who plays hard all game. KCP is a good defender with the potential to be one of the better defenders in the league. His shot is inconsistent and his handles need polishing, but that will come along with hard work.

KCP will only get better with Meeks being inserted into the lineup.

He's a shooting guard who can't shoot. That's pretty much all that needs to be said.

Huh? He has a horrible first 3 games from 3. 2 for 16. Since then, he's shot 39 for 104 = 38%. He's currently tied for #18 int total 3's made. He's on his way to be being a quality shooter from deep.

The problem he has is inbetween. Last year, he couldn't put it on the floor to save his life. This year, he's dramatically better, but he still has a ways to go. He'll get maybe 1 good, decisive drive a game. He needs to add more of that to the mix so he can get some cleaner looks. He also needs to keep his head up and make the easy pass when he does get in the lane. 1 apg just isn't going to cut it from a guard getting up 12 shots per game.

And he shoots 37.5% from 2. A shooting guard who shoots 38% can't shoot.

Making bad decisions is not the same as "can't shoot". If a guy can hit 38% from 3, he doesn't lack shooting touch.
