Multiple reports are saying UM offered him a 6-year, $48 million deal.
That would make him the highest paid coach in college football.
Is he coming?

I think he will,he isnt recieving any love from the 49ers,why not take the money and come home.

If Raiders offer him good money, he might try and stick around in the NFL. Hell I hope Doug Moron gets fired by the Bills along with our Offensive Coordinator and JH comes to Buffalo. Regardless would be huge to see him come to UM after that **** show the past few years have been.

Harbaugh kinda seems like an arrogant prick, but there is no denying his track record as both a college and pro coach. Therefore, I'd kill to see him take over the Wolverines and I have no doubt he'd rebuild the program into a legit top-10 contender within three years. I also have no doubt he'd coach circles around Urban Meyer and hand him his butt, which is another big selling point to me!

Please, please, please, God, make it happen! I was born just in time to watch this program go to hell, please let me watch just one game as a student with a good HC on the sideline- just one home game before I graduate! That's all I'm asking for!

I really, really hope he takes the offer and goes to Michigan. It's been a rough stretch being a UM fan. My gut says he won't take it, but his other options aren't looking very attractive either.
If he wants to stay in the NFL, it'll likely be for a lesser dollar amount and less years than what UM is offering.
Michigan came out of the gate strong on this one. They really put the pressure on the rest of the football world with that offer. 8m/yr is probably what another NFL team would have offered, but I would be very surprised if an NFL team is willing to give Harbaugh a 6 year deal.

No. This offer was made public because Michigan knows he ain't coming and they wanted to look like they gave it everything they could to lure him but Jim wanted to stay in the pros.

This. UM can claim the gave him a huge offer and JH can use it to get paid with Miami/Raiders/Jets.

I did not attend UM nor am I a fan. But college football is better with more good teams. Ohio St/michigan might mean something again.
