Depending on cost, I wouldn't mind seeing JJ back. I also agree with the folks who say that Singler could be a good reserve on a good team. He's not a starting quality player. I could be wrong, but I seem to remember Butler having a player option for next year?

Butler's is a team option.

I'd take Monroe back if it was an option. And Singler and JJ for the right price, but it would almost have to be at a discount. I say discount because I'd be happier to see new faces that aren't attached to previous regimes.

Butler is a team option. I see Singler back and maybe Jonas. I don't see Smith getting traded between now and the end of next season.

Gores is likely cheap so he won't buy out Smith unfortunately, even if a buyout deal could be reached.

I'd want JJ back, maybe give GiGi one more run and keep Mitchell for the development purposes. All could be had on cheap to decent contracts.

At some point leading up to Jan 10th, I would like to see us free up 1 or 2 roster spots and just start bringing in some young guys on 10 day contracts. Let's see what is floating out there in the D-League.

I think Singler is amongst the players traded mid season. Think he has some value league wide as a capable role player. Likely could/would be used as a sweetener in a deal(hopefully smith or monroe)

I've given up on Tony Mitchell, especially after seeing him live in a D-League game. Dude has no drive, and doesn't seem to have improved his game a bit.

Really? That's a shame.

I'd be fine with JJ or Singler at the right price, but it's not a crisis if we lose all 7.

I thought Anthony expressed interest to resign on a minimum contract, maybe he'll be back just as a good veteran guy.

Poor Butler should be traded out of this mess for a Trade Exception and a 2nd rounder, I feel bad for him (and I wouldn't bring him back on 4.5M).

I don't feel bad for him at all. First, this is his profession and he is making millions of dollars (overpaid also). Second, he signed up for this team, we didn't trade for him. It was his choice. Did he probably think it would be better than this? Probably, but he knew we weren't going to be competing for anything significant.

Yeah he's getting overpaid compared to what he would get with a contender anyways like OKC or GSW. He knew what he was getting into.

Plus, he's seen his share of bad or underperforming teams. He was on the Bucks of last year.

7 free agents. Singler is the only one I'd prefer to have back, but at a very reasonable price.

I cosign! Singler is the only one really worth bringing back. We need an Extreme Total Makeover.

Probably? Yeah , okay.. he signed on with the HC who he had a relationship with and the strong majority of us felt like we would win at least 30-35 games and contend for a bottom playoff seed.. build off what we were last year.. You know, show some promise? Instead we're a bottom 3 team in the league that doesn't even bring consistent effort (making a joke of the profession).

I also said I wouldn't bring him back on his team option and trading him for a 2nd round pick at least gives us another shot at selecting maybe a future role player.

We need to retain Monroe, and I wouldnt mind retaining Jerebko for a 3/9 deal or something cheap and Anthony for the vets min. All of our SFs' need to be replaced- we need guys capable of playing perimeter defense and/or creating shots.

I've been very impressed with Monroe hitting that jumpshot lately, his defensive effort has definitely improved too. With Smith gone, I'd like to retain him too.

I see NYK making a hard run at him, I think we will too, but at the end of the day I think he is ready to move on unfortunately. And if that happens then it's an organizational failure.

I don't see Monroe leaving to go to a team worse than Detroit and NYK is even more of a **** show than we were with Josh.

I think SAS and possibly ATL is who we will have to beat out. With the Milsap/Horford pairing rolling right now, ATL may only offer up a backup spot to Greg and I doubt he has interest in that. And if the Spurs are hesitant to give Leonard the max, they will be even more so to offer it to Greg.

I think we have a good shot at keeping Monroe now that Smith is gone and Monroe is in line to get more touches.
