DET v. IND- Tonight at 7:30

Post#1 » by princeofpalace » Fri Dec 26, 2014 11:01 am

Pistons Starters: Jennings/KCP/Singler/Monroe/Drummond

SVG says that Monroe will get all the backup C minutes and we will be playing with 4 shooters + a big for half the game. This is the first time in a long time that I'm actually excited for the game.

I hope to see Drumroe perform well, according to the DetroitBadBoy blog in the few times (16 games) that DrumRoe has started together with a traditional SF- Monroe has put up 17 points/10 boards in 34 minutes, Drummond has put up 14 points/13 board in 30 minutes. I'm really hoping that both continue to play together and I want to see both log around 35 minutes a game. Also, Drummond seems very excited to be starting alongside Monroe.

Have to say I'm excited for the rest of the year, it was becoming almost unbearable to watch lately. Hoping SVG trades one of our pg and give Dinwidle some burn , it's about time we start developing the young guys for real.

I don't know who will win this, since both teams are pretty terrible but obviously we're worse. It really could go both ways.

I'm going to laugh if Stuckey kills us.

I'm going to miss this game unfortunately, but hopefully i can watch it tomorrow or something.
I'm excited to see how Monroe and Drummond fair without Smith and with more shooters around them.
And also asone of the very few Stuckey fans here, i'd like to see how he's doing in Indy. Haven't seen him all year.

So, Monroe's playing 48 minutes tonight?

Looking forward to the post-Smith Pistons. I hope to see a lot less Jennings and more Dinwiddie. Jerebko will finally be unleashed, for better or worse.

It's going to be an entertaining game. I wonder if Jennings will look lost on offense when he can't pass to Smith 90% of the time?

No, we probably look more like

PF: Monroe(22)/Jerebko, Singler, Butler Toliver (26)
C: Drummond(35)/Monroe(13)

Monroe isn`t a "shooter" so I'd read that to say Monroe and Dre will only be on the court half the time together and we could see a lot of Jerebko-Dre and a SF at PF with Dre sets (and when Dre is out Monroe would play with the same shooter sets).

I think Monroe-Dre start the game but then JJ comes in for Monroe to have JJ/Dre and then Monroe will come in at Ce for Dre to have a JJ/Monroe big look.

Will be interesting seeing Dre vs Hibbert one-on-one if we have a shooter at PF drawing West out further and the SF standing in the corner three spot.

Lol yes it was becoming sickening watching these 2 play hot potato with each other, just like Rip and Tayshaun those last 2 years here.

I'll be watching like I pretty much always do. I can't say that I'm really excited about it. In fact, I expect to be less excited during the game. I won't be all excited about why Josh won't give the ball up to the guards to bring it up the floor and watching him dribble into trouble and a turnover. I won't be getting excited about why he picks a particularly key possession to jack up that long jumper. Neither will I be getting excited while marveling at his ball watching defense in hopes of getting a weak side block only to see coming clear as day his getting back doored for an easy layup. Hopefully, I'll find other things in Piston games about which to be excited.

I fully expect the Pistons to continue to be pretty bad, but at least they'll be doing it in a way that might be conducive to future improvement.

I'm dying to know what you're excited about... please share.

I wouldn't doubt if a bunch of fans w/ League Pass, decided to jump over to the Rockets game so they could find something to complain about Jsmoove for.

I'm not excited... I'm curious. Curious to see how this team reacts and curious to see the posts after the game. Whether the Pistons win or lose, I'm sure I will get my fill of the whining and blame that comes after.

Curious, excited. They're both various verbs used to describe an interest in something. We're all interested in seeing how the team begins to play without Smith dominating the offense.

Tolliver won't play. Only just arrived in Detroit after team said to spend christmas with family.

This team has been so much more enjoyable to watch when smith is not on the floor, so itll be interesting to see the freedom everyone plays with knowing that they dint have smith as a giant negative taking all their shots and not giving any effort, and hopefully a lot more enjoyable to watch. Not too excited to see Jonas play 30 minutes though, hes not really good enough for that. Expect dre and moose to play BIG minutes.

Rockets v Grizzlies isn't a more appealing game to watch than Pistons v Pacers?
