Anybody could have traded for him for a future protected 2nd rounder probably and nobody did. We do have a roster spot open - not sure how many other teams do - but I'd rather use it for 10-day contracts on D-League call-ups in two weeks when they are available as "try-outs".

I would do it. If nothing else, he's tall and only 20.

He is not really tall, he is 6'8.5 and more of a PF, long arms though.

I'd add him, in the end is Josh Smith for Tarik Black.

So you're saying a 22-23 yr old grew three inches in a year?

http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/Tarik-Black-5711/

Regardless, I don't think his height is an issue as a back-up center given his wingspan and weight. He has enough size to where it becomes more about toughness/mentality to play center or not.

Is waiver priority the reverse standings ie so worst team Philly has first shot and then so on? So we could have 3rd/4th priority? I'm coming around on claiming him with our open roster spot and then maybe peddling Anthony to Cleveland for a second or something.

half the sites say 6.8 and the other half say 6.11 who really knows his size ? that's for the pistons to find out by coming in for a physical

Draftexpress measurements are generally the best indicator of reality. Team listings are usually crap. The Pistons are no different. Monroe is listed at 6-11 and Drummond at 6-10, but both are 6-9.75 w/o shoes. This said, Kilo's points are well taken. Height matters, but not as much as some think.

If he is 6.7-6.8 i do not want him he is too small for center

Can we even put in a claim since I don't think we have enough room under the cap anymore after the Mitchell for Tolliver swap unless Black being on a minimum contract anybody can put in a claim in for...

We had $2M in cap space but took on 2.18M more in the PHX swap as Tolliver making a flat $3M and Mitchell was making $816K.

Practice player ;) lol

I remember the guy being a beast downlow in the post in the games I watched of Kansas last year.. no idea about his defense/rebounding/actual level of skill though.
Wouldn't mind bringing him in on a 10Day later, if that's possible? I assume SVG and Bower will have a list of guys to look at.

If he was any good at all, you'd think Morey would have kept him as he loves assets.
