"Detroit is playing not only its best ball of the season but great basketball period"

Little article our production during our streak

The Pistons aren't just beating bad teams, the are annihilating them. It took the Pistons 28 games to win its first five contests and only took five more to reach 10 victories. Every win during the streak has been by at least 10 points. The past four have been by at least 16 points. The average margin of victory during the run is 18.2 points.

Yes, every team hits a soft spot on their schedule where they go on a little winning streak. So how rare is a four-game win streak by at least 16 points per game in a single season? It's only been done 82 times in NBA history. And is only reserved for the NBA's elite teams.

honestly after suffering through the first couple of months this season it is so refreshing to get some positive recognition.

most people still think it's a fluke against weak competition but hopefully our play is consistent enough to gain respect.

I see a detroit bad boys linked article and quickly discredit anything written there within.

Exactly! I'm not putting to much into this team until I see how we react these next 5 games. It is nice seeing us play much better ball, but we will know how the season looks after the next week. Go Pistons!!!

Yeah, just a general distaste for the circle jerk community.

I didn't mean them specifically but more in general.

One down (Spurs), four to go. The Dallas and Brooklyn games will be tough being the second half of back to backs. Atlanta and Toronto will be tough because they are elite teams in the East and the Toronto is an away game...a grudge match (Drummond v. James Johnson).

Dallas tonight (second half of a back to back)
Atlanta 1/9 Friday
Brooklyn 1/10 Saturday (second half of a back to back)
Toronto 1/12 Monday

Tonight's game is going to be tough. Pistons spent a lot of energy last night.

Two down (Spurs & Mavs), three more to go. The Mavs win was impressive because it was the second half of a back to back. To add to that, both teams in the back to back were elite and potential title contenders. We get a rest before facing Atlanta but that's going to be a tough game against a team that has swept its Western Conference games.

It was good to see Moose and Augustin dominate. Hopefully we can put together a few more solid efforts. I'm starting to believe that we will.

Atlanta/Brooklyn back to back
Toronto (one day rest then away to Toronto)

After the Texas swing it's pretty hard to argue with the title of this thread. Of course, they're not going to win out the season, but there's no reason the improved play can't be sustainable. Several times this season I'd commented that I'd never seen a team have so hard a time helping each other play. Now, that's all they seem to want to do. So sweet!

4 and 1 in the 5 game stretch

We beat the Spurs, Mavs, Nets, and Raptors. We dropped one to the Hawks where we came back from a pretty big deficit to just lose by three without Drummond.

I think we have seen a lot about this team. We have seen different guys step up to fill voids. We have seen a better commitment to defense from some of our matador defenders. We have seen games playing for each other instead of playing for themselves. The wall is being built. The culture is shifting. The 'Stones are returning.

Deetroit Basket-Ball...is on the rise.

Return to Detroit Pistons
