GT: Pistons (11-2) @ Hawks (33-8) ~ Jan. 19th 2:30 PM EST

Post#1 » by whitehops » Sun Jan 18, 2015 2:57 pm

Alright guys, this is a huge game for us. One, it'll help us in our goal to make the playoffs. Two, if nothing else it will show us (and the team) that they can beat anyone in the league.

That said, it's gonna be really tough with the hawks still soaring high and us playing a crazy amount of games lately.

Go pistons!

Pistons trying to set a new franchise record for 8 straight road wins. Hawks trying to win their 13th in a row overall and currently 16-3 at home so far this season. Plus its a possible first round playoff preview. Can't wait!

Sucks I'm going to miss this game. All time franchise road winning streak on the line vs. the best team in the east (and possibly the league).

Yeah, this game. Only shot we have, is if Atlanta is fat and happy, feeling like kings, like the old Pistons used to. In sure we will play our guts out, but man, Atlanta is just playing ball, on a whole different plane of existence.

All I'm looking for is effort in this one.

Lmao. Tattoo of what? I always thought the Pistons logo with the years we've won his title on the 4corners of it would be cool. With the 4th corner empty and waiting for our next championship 8-)

Just wanted to say GL tomorrow, Ive really enjoyed the Pistons success as of late and have been able to catch some great games by you guys recently. Both of us are cooking so I expect another nail-biter. Oh and make sure to check out our game thread over on the Hawks board. I think you guys will like it :D

Let's be honest here -- if the Hawks play the way they've been playing for the last two months, we're going to get beat. They're playing great team ball, just as we are, but they have more talent than we do.

We match up reasonably well up front, as Drummond, Monroe, and our role players can produce as well as Horford, Milsap, etc. It's the back court and wings where Atlanta outclasses us. Jennings has played very well lately, but Teague has been awesome. Korver is the best shooter off the pass in the NBA, and Singler isn't in his league.

I get to watch, and I want to see a real effort, but I won't be upset if we lose.

This will definitely be a difficult game. The Hawks are going to be a difficult team for 29 teams in the NBA. They're playing fantastic basketball on both sides of the ball.

I would be a tremendous victory if we won tonight, but I'm not feeling too optimistic.

Good Luck today guys. I'm just glad ESPN did this game a justice and picked it up, should be some quality television.
