Just saw this on Twitter from RealGM. I don't know much about the guy but looking at his stats he doesn't shoot the 3 well. Seems odd as another option at SF if he can't shoot?

What are your thoughts? This might not be thread-worthy but I never know where to post these small rumors...

College teammate of DJ Augustin and Kevin Durant - maybe he's besties with Durant and we're going to save our cap space this off-season to have a buttload in 2016 off-season!!!!!

He must be a good defender cause he throws up bricks from the 3pt line. Rather let Datome get some minutes looks like a sharpshooter from 3pt.

Don't get it unless they think he's one more perimeter defender for the playoffs?

i approve this message... they are desperate for an athletic defender at the 3. especially in the playoffs

Admittedly I don't know much about the dude - but if he's considered the best SF defender in the D-League or something than it would make sense for the Pistons to be interested. Looking at his draft profile he was said to be athletic, but more of a 3/4 tweener, but a solid dude and a good teammate. I assume we'd want him in as a specialist - to guard bigger/more physical SF's in key moments/stretches. He also seems to rebound well from the three - something we don't otherwise seem to get from the position.

Have to also believe the showcasing of Datome is part in parcel with this interest, while we do have a open roster spot I don't think Stan would want to bring in another SF and have them leapfrog Datome. I could see Gigi waived though if there is no trade interest and James or some other SF defense first type dude agrees to sign on here.
