Next 10 Games

Post#1 » by mercury » Tue Jan 20, 2015 12:05 am

Fortunately we only have one more game vs the Hawks (March 31st).
The team is currently 1 1/2 games out of the 8th seed.

The next ten games:
Orlando - Home
Bucks - Away
Raptors - Away
Cavs - Home
76ers - Away
Rockets - Home
Miami - Home
Pacers - Away
Denver - Home
T-Wolves - Home

Baring injuries the odds of occupying the 7th/8th seed by the allstar break are pretty good.

7-3 in that stretch, losing to Cavs, Heat and Rockets.

8-2. Heat and Rockets are the losses

I say 8-2

Probably lose to Rockets and Raptors/Cavs
You need 2-way wings, 2-way shooting bigs, and you can't allow low iq players on the court. Assist/turnover ratio is crucial. Shooting point guards are icing on the cake IF they are plus defenders.
Weaver & Casey, govern yourselves accordingly!

If we can come out 6-4 I would be happy all I care about is making the playoff don't care what spot we get.

I'll take 6-4

Bucks, Raps, Cavs and Rockets will be tough. I say we win one of those, but drop another game somewhere else.

Think this is pretty much best case scenario, and it's what I'm hoping for. I think we end up losing to the Rockets and Cavs.

We'll beat the Rockets because Josh will shoot 6/20 trying to 'prove a point'. Just pray coach doesn't bench him by then. lol

A 6-4 record is realistic. 7-3 is pushing it, but they've played well enough for there to be a legit argument made. I think anything beyond that is just expecting too much of the team. There are 2 teams in the NBA right now that are winning at an 80% clip. Just 2. I love what this team is doing, but I don't think that the Pistons are on that level. Sure, they can go on a bit of run, as teams good and bad tend to do. But to think that level of success is sustainable is setting the expectations too high.

I think we could win 8 of ten, but I would be happy with 5 honestly. Bucks, Raptors, Cavs games will be big ones to get in the 8th seed by the all star game. Can you even believe I'm talking about the 8th seed what a change. I bet we're the 8th spot by the all star break and one of the topics of the weekend.

This is probably closer to what we'll see. Maybe 6-4 if we get hot.

I'd gladly take 6-4 with a win over Miami in that stretch.

The Cavs are starting to get their act together, Harden has been playing unreal, and the Raptors are probably going to be hungry for payback.

Best we could expect is 8-2. 6 wins or better will be great.

I'm going with 6-4, which is still optimistic I think.

Surprised to see so many dashing off predictions for this team. Who in this world can predict what the Pistons will do? Would anyone truly be shocked if the Pistons went 1-9 or 9-1?
