Stan Van Gundy amended that Wednesday to say today "would be the earliest" the Pistons would make a move and Sunday the latest.
The Pistons are scouring trade and free-agent possibilities in the aftermath of Brandon Jennings' season-ending injury, Van Gundy said.
"We've got a few balls in the air right now, so as much as we'd like to get it done really soon, we'd also like to make what we think is the best decision," he said. "We sort of know Plan A, Plan B, Plan C, but Plan A has to sort itself out first before we go on to the others. So it could be a couple days still."
It has to be on our terms," if the Pistons trade, he said. "We've already decided what we would and wouldn't give up, and right now, people obviously want more than we're willing to give up."

I'm wondering if Reggie Jackson is plan A. It seems OKC is shopping him hard and wants to move him in the next few days, acquiring him would give us bird and RFA rights this summer and we'd know how his fit was for a few months.
I don't know that we'd be able to make something work. The best I can come up with is Singler/Augustin/HEAVILY protected 1st for Reggie Jackson & Nick Collison (buyout/waived). That gives them wing depth with Singler and a cheap backup PG option in Augustin to replace Jackson, though it leaves us in the same spot in regards to PG depth.

If he knows what he is willing to give up, I doubt it is enough to get Reggie Jackson.

So I'm guessing
a-Reggie Jackson
b- Pablo Prigoni or Norris Cole
c-Jordan Farmar or a 10 day contract guy.

Reggie Jackson isn't plan A, because he's not a "lets bring in some help for the year" guy. He's a longterm piece that would be pricey to obtain (in fact I'm not even sure we're capable of paying such a price). Van Gundy SPECIFICALLY said we aren't looking for a "savior" here.
Wishful thinking.
Plan A is Prigoli or Cole. Plans B and C are either D-Leaguers or guys overseas.

Plan D: Allen Iverson or Will Bynum

This.
People have been reporting on the pistons interest in Prigoli and Cole recently. just because half of this board are obsessed with getting reggie jackson doesn't mean SVG is.

Hahaha. I see boards on RealGM who have an established starting PG with threads stating,"I want Reggie Jackson!"
And, he really ain't that great and is overrated.

Granted I don't watch a ton of other teams ball, but what gives with the Reggie Jackson hype train?
Lots of people think he's an all star waiting to happen, and I just don't see it. Maybe I'm missing something????

He's been playing stupid hero ball and has been a cancer to the OKC lockerroom since the start of the season.
No thanks to Reggie.

You know a guy really sucks when he can't get minutes over Dion Waiters

Not sure what he's got planned. At this rate we can probably just lose our way back into a 5-7 pick, so I don't really care anymore.

Our best still is to go after Lin and Wes Johnson
We get our PG and SF and both players are on expiring contracts

I think Plan A is
See if DJ and Dinwiddie can work
Plan B
Norris Cole or Prig trade
Plan C
D-league Call up or FA signing.
DJ is not consistent enough offensively and below average defensively to be our starting PG. Dinwiddie simply isn't ready, though he shows encouraging signs.
i'd hope SVG would stick with Dinwiddie and let him log minutes
