The Piston Board Suspension Experience

i am on toyko time which is 14 hours ahead of Michigan time, so i get all the news late. I woke up to a email from Tserkin warning me about a particular post in which , ain't going to lie, it was funny, but inappropriate. And then i tried to login and found that i had been banned............gasp! WTF!!! i just got warned and 2seconds later i am banned? i noticed it was just a suspension in the 2015 playoff thread and i also notice that Manocad made reference to "find yourself where blkbrd is". So i am totally confused as to who suspended me. I don't think Manocad is petty enough to suspend a person for not agreeing with him and i do know that Tserkin has a reputation for power tripping, and not a good rep with this board or with me.

My problem is i was suspended and received no message as to why or whom suspended me. I literally haven't been warned in at the very least 6 months, and am a contributing member of multiple boards. Anyone have experience with this?

Anyways, jokes on them, they suspended me on our day off. Go Pistons!

I have been banned from the bulls board so far for about 8 years for nothing, they accused me of trolling which i was not.Howard mass want you to beg ,plead ,to get back on the board he thinks that he's king and we are all peasants and he treats us that way.
So if you get banned don't bother trying to get back on it's a waist of time.

i tried get back on for 3 year it's just a waist of time so i joined other boards . i find 1/2 the mods are on power trips they will probably warn or suspend me for writing this but who cares their are other forums i can go to.Good luck dealing with these people you will need it.

Don't insult other posters and you don't get banned. Just follow the rules.

For me i did not insult anyone and still got banned.go figure.
Because the way they treat people Real G.M is losing posters by the thousands not many people talk on these forums anymore.
including me i found other forums to go to.

Other forums do allow more flaming and name calling. I haven't had a problem in my 11 years here. And, I am hated by so many posters. I have no problem expressing negative opinions, but it is in how you express them.

I went to the Chicago board disagreed with a poster their and they seen i was from detroit and they called me a troll then the mod suspended me from coming over after they labeled me ,so i try to just try to stay in michigan sport sites if you go to other states sites you have to tip toe around and i don't have that kind of feet.

Umm my advice to anyone who gets warned or suspended is to take your case through the proper channels and not air it in public.

I'd imagine doing that would be more successful...

Another piece of advice: don't post elsewhere on Real GM, stick to the Pistons forum.

The Mods here have ALWAYS been lax because generally we're a good group that don't start ****!

The minute you leave this board, well, um yeah - good luck

Piston Pete is an exception to the rule he can say whatever he wants and gets away with it ,i have seen it many times some Mods favor him for some reason i still have not figured this out yet .

I post on all boards from time to time. When visiting other teams boards, I don't visit to argue, but to discuss their team in a respectful manor. I don't argue on other teams boards. Now, there are posters out there who will say that I bring the whole boards quality down, lol.

The board wouldn't be of much interest if people didn't express differing opinions. The problems generally arise when people can't seem to accept that those with differing opinions aren't necessarily stupid, and will bang away relentlessly trying to prove that they are "right" in a matter where that can't yet be established. It's best to bring some humility with you, and at some point just agree to disagree. Time will tell who has the best take on a given situation, and if you're honest, you won't have found yourself on the "right" side in all situations. I'm still a little surprised that "Kirsten" hasn't reappeared for an "I told you so" about Whiteside.

This is the main problem I see with many posters. They just can't accept the fact that someone doesn't agree with them because they are so high on some player or executive. They get very offended if you say anything negative about them.

Sometimes, I have seen great posters just lose it and break the rules. Then, they get so mad that they get suspended that they take long breaks or just don't come back. Me, I don't mind being proven wrong. Just prove it without a doubt!

In the past a Mod would have locked this forum by now, they must be sleeping. They try to cut off all discention before it all comes out what they are really doing to all he posters.

I have never heard a poster being allowed back once their gone they are gone. That's how they try to keep order.

Blkbrd was suspended because of General Board policy.

As noted in the policy thread stickied atop the Gen Board, and has been the case since Sep 2012, ALL WARNINGS ON THE GB COME WITH A SUSPENSION.

Your offensive blowjob metaphor was not well-received, and it was a baiting comment directed at another poster with whom you were arguing. You earned the warning, and specifically because it was the GB, that also came with a suspension for 12 hours. Before posting there again, I advise you to actually take the time to understand the rules of that board so that you can avoid your next warning, which would put you on Read-Only Access to the GB.

FWIW, kellmell, you were banned from the Bulls board for repeated trolling and attacking their mod crew, and for abusing their "Contact Us" mod thread before finally taking a 7-day suspension for insulting one of the global moderators associated with the whole situation. And also your continual failure to follow the article-posting rules properly (3-paragraph limit, properly crediting the source, etc). Same deal on the Lions forum.

Most of your warnings are from 4, 4.5 years ago, save one from 2013.

I'm sure if you cared enough to do so and were able to show their mod team that you would be able to post respectfully and not massively irritate their mod staff that the Bulls forum might consider letting you back on their board as a poster given the time elapsed since the ban.

It is probably best to stay away from the General Board. Too many opinionated emotional people hating on that board. You really can't take anything people say without a grain of salt.
