17 points/12 assists per 36, TS .607, and hasn't committed a turnover.

Jennings, Augustine, now Lucas. What is Stan feeding these guys?

A pretty good system would be my guess.

I'm so disappointed to see this, why is it that a rookie can't get run in the NBA unless they are at least a top 10 pick? All we ever hear about is "paying your dues", does JL3 really have more to offer this team than Spencer? Really? I hate SMALL PLAYERS that are too undersized for their respective positions. Rarely, do they work out, (Ben Wallace, Barkley, a few others come to mind) are the exceptions to the rule. Why "waste" minutes on a has-been, never-was, won't-be-here-next-year player, like JL3?

Was SD good out there? Not really, was he average or there about? I'd say so, he was adequate or just below, not much worse than how DJ played as a backup. What does this team gain by wasting minutes on JL3? They can give up the misguided hopes of making the playoffs when you can't even beat a piss poor Minnesota team on your own HC. Why not funnel minutes to a young rookie? Why just hand minutes to vets for the sake of it? Caron Butler was BAD LAST NIGHT when I watched (frankly, I turned it off because it was disgusting basketball after halftime). Why is there it notion to get guys their minutes when the VETS aren't earning them either and they aren't a part of the core group of guys that will be here in the next few years?

Starting to get annoyed by SVG and his commitment to players that seemingly don't seem to give a damn out there.

P.S. SVG doesn't give a crap about defense, it's obvious to anyone who has watched his teams. He "preaches" defense, but that's for show only, ANY COACH WHO WOULD START JAMEER NELSON FOR 4-5 YEARS AND THEN TROT JL3 OUT THERE AS A PG DOES NOT CARE ABOUT DEFENSE. NEITHER PLAYER CAN DEFEND THE POSITION AND IT'S A JOKE TO CALL SVG A DEFENSIVE COACH.

Yes because Stan didn't coach the #1 defense in the league.

I don't see anything wrong with signing Lucas to a 10 day contract. It is only a freaking 10 day contract. He hasn't been that bad. Besides, there are not many defense 1st PG's who can dish AND shoot reliable 3's available out there. This is a stop gap move to buy some time until Stan can get what he wants.

Exactly... there's no point giving up assets for a PG when SVG is more interested in implementing his system and develop the youth of the team this season over trying to "win now". Jennings will be back next season anyway.

jL3 has been fine. He's cheap and he's producing.

I doubt Stan is just looking at Chinese or D-League stats in his decision making process. He knows these players from character makeup to Chemistry wise, to style of play and how they have integrated with coaches personally and on the floor. Stan knew exactly what he needed when he brought up JL3 and that was someone to play 10mpg until he can find someone better.
