He seems to have natural point guard instincts. Doesn't have the explosion of Jackson or the upside to scare defenses. Could be a perfect back-up option...or maybe develop into the perfect starter if his supporting cast had more scorers. For a rookie with limited playing time, he's really calm, under control and seems to have a good court awareness. He's also a very good defender already. That's really unusual for the position. Even the Superstar point guards relied more on their pure ability when they first came into the league. It's supposed to take awhile for the game to slow down. If Pistons keep Jackson, I believe he's a better fit than Jennings.

Call me crazy, but after seeing him outplay both Rose and Wall I legitimately believe Dinwiddie has the potential to be a top 12-15 starting PG in this league.

Him and Monroe were solely responsible for our comeback, and I'd so more so Dinwiddie than Monroe because he (Dinwiddie) did an excellent job with his decision making and tempo control as the floor general, mixing in playmaking with some much needed scoring. His jumper hasn't been consistent this season, but his form and comfort level look good, and he shot it well in college. He drives to the rim and finishes decently. Has better court vision than anyone on the roster aside from Jennings. Solid defender, and while he isn't a great athlete he's very smooth/coordinated and at 6'6 200lbs he's going to have a size advantage most nights at PG. Feel for the game and poise is great, and I love that he wasn't afraid of the moment, taking Nene 1 on 1 with about 30 seconds off the dribble late in the game.

I don't want to get too far ahead of myself because for the most part aside from tonight and Chicago he's been pretty unspectacular, but I don't believe tonight was a fluke. I've got a bad feeling that we'll trade him away though like we traded away Afflalo and Middleton.

until he can learn how to be a constant threat from shooting he will continue to struggle against better defenses. Tonight was an anomaly and the Wizards really suck honestly. Teams that take away his driving will totally get him out of sync because he's not overly quick to beat guys off the dribble even when they give him space

He's got great court vision, plays with poise, has the size to be a plus defender and can shoot. Would love to see him get more playing time. We have a void at PG right now, so I hope game play dictates playing time.

and i will continue to be ultra cynical of this team until they are back as being the best team in the East because this garbage we've seen the last 7 years is flat out unacceptable. I have high expectations and so should you

Surprised someone didn't make a lame ass "Our PG" thread after this game.

Dinwiddie looked great. He was the only perimeter player that had any kind of game against the Wiz. Good on him, helping rally back from 20 down.

I think he's our future backup PG... for 2015 and 2016... beyond that its hard to say but a few weeks ago I couldn't stand him getting any playing time and now he's growing up before our eyes so its a good thing to see for sure.

One good game does not a PGOTF make. At the same time, it was a pretty good game for a kid in his rookie year coming back from an ACL. He does look like he is getting some speed and quicks back though, as he surprised me with some of his drives, and particularly with that one where he went the length of the court. Wishing him well as the Pistons could stand a little good luck.

He kind of has that Billups calm demeanor on the court. Like I said people were talking about him as a possible lottery pick in that loaded draft before he got injured. So you can't really just think of him as some scrub from the 2nd round.

I loved his tempo in the game to orchestrate the offense. He's in total control most of the time and combined that with the fact that he's a really long and tall PG is awesome. Put him on the 76ers and he would probably produce like MCW.

My favorite play was the last one when he has Nene on him. Game on the line, final seconds, but he realizes he has a mismatch so he clears every one out and takes it strong to the hole. Great move by the rook

This was another developmental step in the right direction for Dinwiddie. He can run the offense with poise even in crunch time situations. The thing he needed to show was his ability to be on the attack making himself more of a threat to the defenses and playing with a faster tempo. It's going to be another season before he can demonstrate better explosion, but he's showing flashes of being a highly intelligent and capable player.

Hopefully RJ's aggressiveness (in the right situations) rubs off on him and his poise and knowledge of the offense rubs off on RJ. We are moving in the right direction.
