The "Pick 5" Contest

Who's up for a good ol' fashioned picking contest? The theme: The Detroit Pistons starters for January, 2016.

Pick who you think will be the 5 starters by January, 2016 (giving rookies enough time to work their way into the starting lineups).

RULES:
You may not pick the same 5 as someone before you has.
You may not edit/change your pick.
Your response must come within one week of the OP.

The winner will receive the collective awe and admiration of the Detroit Pistons board expressed in "Dayyyyum, that was a hotpick"s, virtual fist bumps, and a bounty of And1s.

Remember, get your answers in within one week and first come first serve on the starting five.

Jennings
Jackson
Johnson
Bargnani
Drummond

The crop of power forwards that are unrestricted is pretty awful. Bargs would probably be the best fit.

love these picks. i think tobias is the best fit for us at PF for a number of reasons: he can space the court, he can knockdown a decent volume of free throws at great efficiency for a big, he can function both as a face-up and back to the basket 4, and he can defend both perimeter-oriented bigs and the more physical paint-dwellers (people don't understand how useful it is when a guy can do both). i'd be floored if we could still him from orlando (and new york).

johnson would be an ideal draft choice for us, but we'd still need to add to our SF depth

Just tried to be realistic. Bargs should be relatively cheap. Green, Harris, Butler, Leonard, etc.. are pipe dreams. The unrestricted FA pool is pretty bad, unless you have an honest shot at Kevin Love if he opts out. (we don't)

C: Andre Drummond
PF: Frank Kaminsky
SF: Khris Middleton
SG: Kentavious Caldwell-Pope
PG: Reggie Jackson

Expecting a bit of a reach with the pick, but I have faith in Kaminsky at the never level transferring into this system. Then I added Middleton because we can throw him a big offer with Monroe's cap cleared. I'm not sure if this line of thinking is really with SVG considering he aimed for singles last year... wouldn't Middleton be a home run swing?

Anyway, I could also easily see Drummond/Tolliver/Mario/KCP/Jackson too. (But that's not my pick)

PG- Reggie Jackson (almost a sure thing)

SG- KCP (nearly a sure thing barring a significant trade -- and I don't see Meeks taking his place)

SF- Demarre Carrol (I still think we draft SF but rook doesn't start year 1)

PF- Draymond Green (Most likey RFA to come to Detroit; has shown interest - seems like a SVG guy)

C- Andre Drummond (a sure thing)
