I know this tweet doesn't mean anything but it is quite interesting.

Only way it happens is if Draymond takes a one year QO with the Warriors, because they'll match any offer he gets. So if Green wants to come here, he needs to force his way here. I just don't see that happening, he's just using Detroit to get more money from Golden State, which is smart of course, but he's there at least for another 4-5 years.

If Warriors go all the way which I'm thinking they will, Green is only going to use us as leverage to demand more money. Simple as that.

No Golden State is not bluffing

The Sixers or another team will easily take Lee's expiring contract

Warriors are not going to make the same mistake as OKC which is to get rid of a young piece in order to skip paying the luxury tax for one season

There's no way a savvy team like the Warriors is bluffing on Green, as it would all but assure they lose him.

Someone will offer Green a max offer sheet. Might even be us. The Warriors will match it. Guaranteed.

That's something only the owners know, but it has no bearing on the point I made.

Speaking the way they have all but guarantees a max offer sheet will be put out there by someone. If they weren't willing to pay it bluffing guarantees they lose him. The Warriors are too smart for that.

^Curry and Thompson deals will be VERY team friendly under skyrocketing cap/tax though.

And for that matter Detroit would have three max players if somebody throws silly money at Reggie, Gores already called Dre a max player and then we'd have Draymond Green getting paid big as well...

Nobody's offering Monroe, Draymond, or Reggie the max. Some folks gotta stop it man.

I honestly hope the Pistons don't go after 6'7 Draymond, I remember Gregory smashed him during the regular season.

Would Dre say this if he didn't know Monroe's intentions?

Going to be a nice healthy fine heading Dre's way.

Maybe.

All he said was that he wished he had him on his team, which doesn't necessarily mean "I want to make sure we clear all other circumstances so we can have him on our team."

But yeah, I wouldn't be at all surprised if everyone in the organization already knew Monroe was gone.

To the tune of 16.5ppg on 38% shooting.... Definitely smashed him..

They'll be in luxury tax for one whole stinking year and that's also before Lee's and Speight's deals expire that year too. There is no situation in which they do not match, none. It's simple to see, especially if they take the chip this year and are looking to 2 peat. We have a better chance of landing a stud two way wing in Butler or a fringe stretch 4 in Harris before we even sniff Green.

Kerr has even said Dray is the heart and soul of the team and Lacob has repeatedly said they'll match anything.
