Raptors Firesale

Rumors are starting to fly about a potential Raptors firesale if they lose in the first round, thoughts on shipping our #8 pick for DeRozen?

Derozon can't shoot. A potential Jackson/Derozan back court would yield tons of bricks

Rookie contracts are too damn valuable. You have to trust your scouting staff to hit and then you have a cheap starter for five years.

This. This. This.

Rookie contracts aren't going to be upscaled with the new cap spike which are going to be huge for having cheap, young, and productive assets that cost virtually nothing against the cap.

On that note, hell no to Derozan, he's literally just a homeless man's Kobe with jacking up long 2s and contested fadeaways.

Derozan sucks. But I would go after Patterson.

Patterson and Amir probably the only 2 I'd even think about

Isn't Amir a free agent?

Maybe it's me being petty, but I love the fact that the Raptors are imploding. This was almost poetic for their obnoxious fanbase always trying to start s*** and try to force some nonreciprocal rivalry on other teams.

I mean the "F*** Brooklyn thing made gamethreads unbearable and that carried over with F*** Paul Pierce with the WIzards (Which the Truth promptly shut them up properly). I'm all for trashtalk, but that just some weak trashtalk.

I agree with you, their fanbase is annoying. I never liked or disliked the Raptors, i never cared about them but their fanbase made me want to root against them with all the trash talking and because of how obnoxious their fans are. They never kept it realistic with their team either, they acted like The Raptors were like the Spurs of the NBA or something. I also got sick of the crying and complaining they did about how they are never respected and so on.

Oh man, don't remind me. It was absolutely unbearable when they were the number 1 seed for a little bit in the beginning of the season. Anybody that doubted their "contender" status was promptly flooded with the countless Raptors fans that came out of the woodwork.

Simply put, they overperformed this season and got burned out.

Only things that seems reasonable for us are picking up Amir or Patterson. I'm still sour whatever powers that were chose Maxiell over Amir so many years ago, wouldn't mind seeing him in a Piston jersey again.

Shoot, I'll do it and play Derozan at the 3.

Having rookies aren't valuable when the rookie is a bust. Folks better realize we don't have Dumars drafting for us anymore.

if we could get ross for cheap I'd be down.

he's pretty much the only player I'd want, to be honest. amir Johnson would be okay but he's a free agent so we can just sign him.

Hahahaha. Really, Dumars made a good pick with Knight (before trading him and a 3&D SF for BJ) and Greg and Dre were picks so obvious my grandma would've made them. Trading SVG's first ever lotto pick for a non shooting chucker and then talking about Dumars draft prowess...

The Wizards were playing like crap to finish the end of the season and now are about to sweep Toronto.

What a joke this Raptors team is and what a bigger joke the fanbase is

WE THE NORTH!
