With the cap going up 71% in 2 years it makes 0 NONE ZERO sense not to max out Monroe on a 5 year contract and if you dont want him---TRADE him after 3 months into the season. These contracts are at a 70% discount--complete and utter no brainer for Detroit. They shouldve done this last year. 16mm will be 9.5 in 2 years.
