Rakeem Christmas has worked out for teams with late first-round picks after a breakout senior season at Syracuse that saw him average 17.5 points and 9.0 rebounds a game. He doesn’t have ideal size for a center – he measured a shade under 6-foot-10 at the May draft combine – but compensates with a whopping 7-foot-5 wing span. At 23, he’d probably be ready from day one to fill the No. 3 center role that Joel Anthony occupied for the Pistons last season.
If he is taken look for these players Arturas Gudaitis and Mouhammadou Jaiteh.

My prediction, too. But I'd be happy with Christmas. And a number of prospects, to be honest.
Seeing as we've only got an hour or so to debate this — do we take Upshaw if he's there? Everything about him screams "PROBLEM CHILD!!!" to me, but damn, the upside is huge. If SVG can keep him in line, we'd ALWAYS have a rim protector patrolling the paint.

We could go with 20 different guys, LOL. This is just the guy I like and think he could develop into someone to bring off the bench behind Drummond.

I was mostly hoping that we'd go for one of the sleeper PF prospects in the second like Richuan Holmes or Larry Nance Jr., but with Ilyasova and Toliver here I doubt we go for a stretch 4. We probably should, because Holmes is a fantastic prospect given his athleticism, defense and jump shot combo at the 4, but whatever.
I hope we don't go for any of the PG prospects, because I don't really like any of them after the guys who will be gone by then.
SG is loaded with good potential players, but most would be seen as a reach. Guys to watch for are Michael Fraizer, Corey Hawkins, Rayvonte Rice and Josh Richardson. Rice we could probably pick up undrafted and I think that if he makes a full recovery, he can play.
SF there aren't many guys who are awesome, and they'd all be reaches, but Darrun Hilliard, Julian Washburn, Sir'Dominic Pointer, and maybe Brendan Dawson.
At PF, beyond Holmes and Nance, I would be thrilled with Jordan Mickey. Chris McCullough has potential but is a shot in the dark, and Rakeem Christmas might be able to contribute as a PF/C. I'm typically not a fan of Syracuse prospects though.
Mouhammadou Jaiteh is a solid option at C.
