Draymond Green said he would do his due diligence with all suitors when free agency arrives Wednesday and is open to face-to-face team visits with serious free agent opportunities.

Along with the Golden State Warriors and Detroit Pistons, the Atlanta Hawks and Houston Rockets are also expected to be among the teams interested in Green, according to a source.

I'd rather not.

Not with that small chance we can steal away Harris away from ORL. I'd rather give money to him first.

They just won the championship and in the clinching game Draymond dropped a triple double. Yeah, no chance GS doesn't match. If he wants to be here he'll have to take the QO and sign next year, which I find extremely unlikely.

I agree with DBC, we should set our sights on Harris.

He wants to use us as leverage for a max money offer is all. I'd oblige a face-to-face, just to Stan can sit down with him and get to know each other to build a bit of a rapport that could pay off down the line when Green is a UFA. I wouldn't make an offer though, Warriors certainly match and we're locked out of the FA signing process for 72 hours.

Unlike those players signing 1-2 year deals to hit the open market in the cap explosion years, I think Dray is much better suited getting his big money 5 year deal right now.

I honestly don't even want Stan to waste his time on Draymond cause it ain't happening.

So Green wants to use the Pistons to get every dollar he can?

Under no circumstances do I want this schmuck on our team. He is a very dirty player, a huge whiner and baby on the court even after committing blatant fouls, and most importantly, the product of a system, playing next to two of the best shooters in the league

We need to go after Tobias Harris and Carroll right away if we have any shot of getting those guys to sign with us. SVG doesn't need to waste a minute on Green's quest to a max contract.

Should he have a sitdown with him? Honestly, I have no idea how strapped for time SVG is. With an RFA there's always .01% chance things go sour with the home team and in that case you want to be one of the teams that talked to him first. But, as I said, is that chance enough to waste valuable time with? Doubt it.

I certainly wouldn't make it a priority, not when the Warriors currently have absolute control over that situation and no incentive not to match any offer. It really doesn't matter whether or not Dray's interested in us.

Danny, Demarre, and Tobias all should be higher priorities. Not sure I'd bother with Draymond at all, and everything outside of this report indicates that SVG agrees.

So what if he wants to be wined and dined a little. If it increases the odds he comes here in 4-5 years as a UFA than it would be a good investment. There is an article up by Langlois today how the Pistons gave first class treatment to all 51 potential draftees that worked out for us with the idea it was seeding the ground - having all have positive experiences here so eventhough they'll play elsewhere they'll talk up their Detroit experience to new teammates, and maybe give us certain extra consideration down the line as they'll remember we treated them like royalty when they were second round draft prospect nobodies.

I'd go after him, I think he's the difference for next season. 5yr/85m .He is a home state product. He brings the intangibles. DRummond wants him. He has championship experience, and his game should work here. Go for it if we cannot get him and he really wants to come home he'll wait one more yr. If we're going to get a top tier FA this is it. I really don't think we can acquire any significant FA otherwise. This is the best Hr piece we got.

I assure you, the Warriors won't be moved not to match by the fact that he's a "home state product".
