Cap Space Rental Trades

Trying to take a positive POV about the big whiff in FA, what cap space rental trades are available to us?
Warriors - Want to move Lee, his contract for 1 year is $15 mil. The Warriors have traded their 2017 1st round pick to Utah so they can't trade a 1st until 2019, they've also traded out their '16 / '17 / '18 2nds.
Rockets - Rumors were they made a solid impression on LMA, they would need to move Ariza / Terrance Jones / Kostas Papanikolaou (totaling about $15,500,000). Obviously this would likely be our best possible outcome, but I believe Stan and Ariza had problems in Orlando, it requires LMA going to Houston, likely requires us giving value and requires Portland to not agree to take the package in a LMA S&T.
Phoenix - Also shooting up in LMA's rankings (Last rumor was 50/50 between Suns & Spurs). The would need to dump Markieff Morris ($8 mil for the next 4 years) or one of PJ Tucker ($5.5 mil for 2 years) / Marcus Morris ($5 mil the next 4) + Danny Granger ($2 mil exp). Obviously they've got legal issues with the Morris twins that make those two highly unattractive, they have a '16 1st coming from Cleveland and '18 & '21 1sts coming from Miami. Again, need LMA to go there and Portland to not agree to a S&T.
Miami - Wants to dump Birdman ($5 mil exp) / Chalmers ($4.3 mil exp) to save money. They've traded out the maximum number of 1st round picks allowed with 3 already gone. May be willing to move Deng ($10 mil exp) or McRoberts ($5.5 mil next 2 years, coming off injury) if they want to save bad enough. Stan doesn't have the best relationship with Riles to facilitate a deal.
Brooklyn - We've talked about Joe Johnson at length, but the rumors out of yesterday were they might just stretch the last 2 years of Deron Williams' contract as he's a toxic presence in the locker room.
OKC - Their roster is full and may give up Novak or PJ3 to save money / balance out their roster
Washington - Might like someone to take Nene's $13 mil expiring, they've traded their '16 and '19 2nds. Might like to dump the last 2 years ($4.5 mil) of Kris Humphries deal for optimum cap room to chase Durant next summer.
Anyone got anything else?

I wish SVG would of put Josh on the bench and not released him... but I wouldn't mind absorbing Ariza or Nene. I'd do Meeks for Johnson if the numbers fit, but wouldn't want to give up Jennings in the deal

Only the Houston or Phoenix scenarios offer incentives we should look into.

Agree, I like those a lot. Would love to to get involved if LMA chooses one of them.

Besides this:
http://www.kpho.com/story/28861938/phoenix-suns-morris-twins-charged-with-aggravated-assaultAnd that a couple of untrustworthy sources are reporting LMA has picked the Spurs.

Toronto needs to clear some cap space if they want to bring Wes Matthews in (yes, they're still after him even after getting Carroll). James Johnson or Terrence Ross would be alright. Patrick Patterson too but he would probably require a pick in return.

Would not mind taking a flyer on PJ Tucker at all.

I love the idea of getting involved with helping phoenix out

. Pj Tucker would fill a great need for us right now. However, I wouldn't want to damage my cap space if I was interested in Harris...Hypothetically with Tucker, we could do:
Drummond/X
Ilysova/Tolliver/Johnson
Tucker/Johnson
KcP/Meeks
Jackson/Jennings/Dinwiddie
So Johnson could fill that small ball 4 combo forward type role immediately.

welp, so much for trading for tucker. he would've been the perfect stopgap starting SF until johnson was ready.

I want Johnson to start right away anyways. Develop him asap. His defense, energy, and current scoring ability will be enough for him not to be a liability early on imo.

Super glad we took this route with PHX and didn't overpay but there is another option available I mentioned earlier I wouldn't mind....
Wiretap is saying the Wizards are trying to trade Nene to get David West. Would you trade any of Illyasova, Jennings, Meeks, Tolliver, Martin, Miller for Nene?? I think we could use a little bit more muscle up front and that we have enough shooting. I think I'd trade Meeks and Tolliver to WAS for Nene. He can hit that mid-range J for spacing, and another poster mentioned we could use another player with at least the ability to score inside
That trade would free minutes for Dinwiddie, Jennings, KCP and Jackson at the 1-2, and we'd still have Morris, Stanley, Illyasova, etc as forwards that can shoot...

^They're looking for a cap dump ie we could get Nene for a 2021 second rounder as we do have $10M in cap space but they don't want players in return.

Meeks and Tolliver are making over $9 mil next year combined. That only frees up about $4 mil for the Wizards. How much cap space do they need?

I have no idea what the numbers are supposedly for West's potential salary, all I know is I want Nene... If we can trade just Tolliver's $3 million to get him if they want as much cap space as possible I'd do it. I don't know if anybody just has $13 million for him though and would be willing to do it (Lakers, Knicks)

Knicks are out after giving Lopez 54M over 4 years but the Lakers are definitely in play with no options at C in free agency besides Jordan Hill.
We could swing Jennings to Philly and have Washington's 2nd rounder go to Philly and just take on Nene.
Ilyasova/Tolliver/Drummond/Nene/Baynes --- someone would probably have to get traded but that is a great big man rotation

Don't want Nene here. Rather bring Anthony back.
Dre, Baynes, Anthony
Illyasova, Tolliver, Miller
Johnson, Morris, Bullock
KCP, Meeks, Hillard
RJ, BJ, Dinwiddie
That's a good 15 that's mostly young and should bow down to SVG & the system

I think Jennings could be potentially too valuable because of what RJ and SD have not proven to get shipped out for a 1 year Nene rental. Brandon Jennings is still 25, he averages 16 & 6 for his career, and we were 12-4 in his last 16 games before he went down. Then again he can leave next year too.

I'd rather flip somebody else.. Meeks, AT, Illyasova idk....
Probably won't happen. Nene is a nice Plan C for capspace with the Lakers if LMA chooses somewhere else, and its a few other deals probably the Wiz would prefer

Jennings is trying to get paid, he is not going to like coming off the bench especially if he starts to outplay Jackson.
We need to trade him before any issues arise. Jackson is not exactly the smartest guy in the world. He was convinced he was better than Westbrook. How would he take it if Jennings was playing out his mind and SVG started Brandon over him?
Or Jennings could do awesome coming off the bench but even then we won't be able to pay him next offseason and if we traded him the most we get would be a late 1st round pick from a contender. Id rather take Nene and sign a veteran PG that knows his role
This is the same exact scenario as last season. We could have and should have traded Josh Smith. Instead keeping him pissed off Monroe and destroyed our team chemistry and our entire season. You would think SVG would learn from his biggest mistake as Pistons GM.

Jackson might SUPER cough up that starting spot. If he thinks he was better than Westbrook at any point in time he is the guy we should be trading. That's not a matter of not being smart that's just......idk
The difference between the Josh situation is that Jackson can and has played the 2.... and can be effective there. I honestly think Brandon should and will emerge as the starting 1 and RJ will be the one back in his OKC role. Their games aren't far apart and if Jennings is healthy he is just more of a baller.
Picturing RJ and Brandon competing for anything I have a hard time seeing RJ winning. Brandon will take RJ's girlfriend, the PG spot, and his jersey number if he decides he wants it. Brandon will roast RJ. Then there's Dinwiddie too who outplayed RJ at times last year who I'm very high on. What happens after this season idk though but moving on to RJ wouldn't be bright
