Poll on projected wins for 2015/2016 season.

There seems to be a huge difference of opinion on the Pistons board, with how much the team has improved, or how lack thereof. Let's get it down, and see where we stand as a board.
If something else, free agent wise happens, we'll just close this one, and start another.

Reluctantly taking 40-45, though I think we'll be at the bottom of that range.

I think 40 is around the number, so I had a hard time picking which one.
I've gone lower than most each of the last couple of years and STILL consistently overestimated, so I went with 35-40, with the expectation that we'll be on the higher end of that. We have an outside chance of being better than .500 if all goes perfectly.

Went with 35-40 wins. With as much turnover as we saw this summer, I'd expect the team to get better as the season went and wouldn't be surprised if they had another bad start.

Lottery team, finishing 6th to 9th worst.
Looking at the league, I would say the Pistons would finish ahead of:
1. Sixers
2. Blazers
3. Lakers
On the same tier:
4. Timberwolves
5. Hornets
6. Nuggets
7. Magic

I choose 40-45, being slightly optimistic; I think .500 (41-41) is the number.

Pretty even split. Just a touch more positivity, so far.

As of now mark me down for 40-45.
I expect this season to be very different than last. The amount of changes and inconsistency last season was crazy and they still won 32 games.
SVG has had a lot more time to construct the roster and evaluate the current pieces to know what he has to work with.
Call me crazy but having a solid vision and sticking with a plan gives me lot of optimism.
I can't imagine not being 8 wins better than last season.

Blazers are nailing their rebuild.

35-40 seems very realistic with a core of so many young guys that need more seasoning (Dre, KCP, Stanley).
Dre - Should never be the focal point of the offense. Just hustle for putbacks, lobs, rebounds and defense should be enough. No more or less.
KCP - Try to be in the range of 15-17 PPG this year and that should be a considerable uptick in progression.
Stanley - Upstart Morris for the starting spot if he is indeed coming off the bench and be in someone's ROY mock vote.

Yes they are...Only returning starter is Lillard and they have 2 nice pieces in Myers Leonard and CJ McCollum and are certain to have a nice lottery pick next year. Wonder what they will do with all the cap space though?

I couldn't disagree more. He is not like Dwight howard, he is like shaq, in terms of size, and speed. He absolutely should be the focal point. Throw the ball down, and let him just dominate other 5's in the league. We saw flashes of it last year, when he was just bullying his way down into the paint, just like shaq did, and dunking right on guys. Mosgov, is a big damn dude, and drummond just embarrassed him on several occasions. The key, is him passing out of the post, to all the newly aquired bombers we have.
With that said, I absolutely see your point of view, and can't really say that it wouldn't work. One thing we know for sure, is that Drummond is a fantastic garbage collector.

Knicks added Afflalo and Lopez. Enough said.
Kings added Rondo, which could end up helping them or hurting them.

Knicks entire roster pretty much sucks and Rondo made Dallas worse last year.
"Regardless of whether this is a case of Rajon Rondo finally learning the dark side of being a diva or whether he had a legitimate beef with Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle, this is a sad ending to his tenure in Dallas, and perhaps his status as a valuable NBA player.
Rondo will never again play for the Dallas Mavericks. That’s what Carlisle announced Wednesday after Rondo’s lack of effort in Game 2 of a Western Conference first-round series against the Houston Rockets."

40, yup. Uncomfortable choosing 40-45 because there are a lot of variables... 1 month into the year will Jennings be thriving, pouting, damaged, or traded? Can Ilyasova stay healthy enough to play more than 60 games? Would Marcus Morris slide to the 4 with Stanley at the 3 if Ersan's health continues to be a major problem? What happens if Marcus Morris turns out to be crazy and becomes a cancer without his brother, Ilyasova gets injured, KCP and Meeks do not improve at all from last year, and Jennings is never a good player for us again? I can see another 25-32 win season if all that happens.
I feel best about Drummond, Jackson, and Stanley. The core.
If everything goes right, sorta like the Lions last year until Dallas, this team could easily catch fire and win 45+, maybe even approach 50 if Drummond and Jackson become stars quicker than anticipated.
