Re: Detroit Pistons 2015-16 Schedule (Coming Soon)
I think we'll receive the requisite two nationally televised games to start the season, while crap teams like the Knicks and Nets will still get 40 of them.
If we play well, we'll receive more national games. If we play poorly, we'll probably be bumped.

Re: Detroit Pistons 2015-16 Schedule (Coming Soon)
Whatever that schedule says for national games, add at least 4. "Surprise teams"(not to me)always are the hot ticket, and when detroit is in the middle of a 10 game win streak, the league, epsn, and tnt will take notice.

Re: Detroit Pistons 2015-16 Schedule (Coming Soon)
I could care less about the national games. We won't get many of those until/if we become contenders.
I'm more interested in how difficult the beginning of the season will be...getting off to bad starts has been a bit of a theme for us the past 6-7 years, and the first month or two of the season will absolutely critical to establish the winning culture that SVG wants to establish...the belief that we can and should be a team that will play at least .500 ball and have a chance of beating anybody on any given night.

Re: Detroit Pistons 2015-16 Schedule (Coming Soon)
That is going to change this year. Unless the first ten games are unusually brutal (west coast swing early, ton of road games e.t.c.)I see this team coming out swinging with something to prove.MrBigShot wrote:I could care less about the national games. 6-4 minimum with brutal schedule. Could be 8-2, or even 9-1 with an easy ride.
I am really high on this group, and coaching staff.
SVG has his team and is going to push, and push hard.

Re: Detroit Pistons 2015-16 Schedule (Coming Soon)
Excellent start to the year. Only 4 playoff teams in the first 10, and our west coast trip is mostly crap. Better then I expected.
Minimum 6-4, if they start like I think they can, 8-2.

Totally not surprised that we have zero national games.
The Nuggets and Sixers are the two teams actively looking not to win games right now. Them being our company stings a little bit.

For the 8th yr in a row looks like I will watch more Pistons Summer League games than regular season games.

The nationally televised games right now are just a starting point. Should the Pistons prove to be better than expected they'll get some attention.

Was that game last year suppose to be nationally televised? It was during or around when they had their winning streak going. I can't remember who it was against. IMO, it shows the expectations ppl have for our season: they aren't projecting us to be very good. Its not surprising at all to me.

I don't recall the particulars from last year, but this stuff happens every season. As the season goes on what have proven to be bad match ups are bumped for another game billed as the stalwart (team) vs the surprising (team).
