Who do you think will have the better NBA career?

This very likely isn't even close. I know it's hard to quantify defense, and that's where KCP's edge is, but Reggie is a better scorer, much better passer, better rebounder, much better ball handler... and that's not likely to change. Especially if both remain in Detroit in SVG's PG-oriented system.

Surprised a the margin, 12-0 at this writing. Maybe a Stanimal v. Reggie thread is next....

RJ has put up triple doubles and a 20 20 game, KCP hasn't. He's showed being capable of getting 20 points good D, decent rebounding, but nothing much else

The RJ Stanimal one would be better. I'm guessing Stanimal wins just because he is all based on potential and is so young. Be a better comparison if he actually had a year under his belt tho

I didn't vote because I honestly can't decide. A fair statement for both is they are promising prospects who have looked very good at times, but struggled with consistency. Reggie finished last season on a roll, and KCP struggled with road production, but what the future holds? KCP is about AD's age, so that should be considered.

Reggie if he remains a Piston. The offense is built with heavy usage of the PG. KCP may ultimately be the better player, but this offense RJ is going to have the better career. I have read that SVG wants KCP to handle the ball more and if that's true, i may change my answer

To early to tell,I think kcp needs more time and could really suprise alot of posters around here it seems, but to me I see the potential, its a matter of kcp hitting it,which I think he can.But blk made a good point ,the offense is bulit with heavy pg usage, which show cases alot more of rj and all of his skills.

Should re-visit this at the end of the season.

There's a couple people here that hate reggie so I'm surprised by the poll results.

They aren't players on the same level. That's why the results are what they are. Even people with relatively low opinions of Reggie probably consider him a better player than KCP.

It's not a good comparison because they play such different roles. Especially with the freedom PGs are given from SVG.
